Sorry your site is down fellas. Nice to see a little role reversal going on!

Now I remember stories about the last time the Americans were ensconsed over here therefore we must advise our women that:

Your chocolate does not taste nicer.

Your accents are not cool.

Supplying "panti hose" is not a sign of undying love.

You are not all close friends of the U.S.President!

Grrrrrrr. our site has been down for 16hrs now!
This is uncalled for.

Does this mean we have to start riding on the wrong side of the road? And do I have to start putting marmite on everything?

**corrected because apparently, you brits arent into dead vermin processed into a fine, creamy spread meant for enjoying on toast and bagels**

No, but you could try riding on the correct side of the road.

And do I have to start putting marmot on everything?

Why would you want to spread a dead rat over anything? I mean the French might do it, but we certainly wouldn't  .

Yeasts constitute a group of single-celled (unicellular) fungi, a few species of which are commonly used to leaven bread, ferment alcoholic beverages, and even drive experimental fuel cells.

That tells you everything you need to know about Marmite. People tend to either love it or hate it. They even based an advertising campaign on how much some people hate it.

The trick is to spread it very thinly, as it has an intensely strong flavour. I'm a heretic who prefers the Australian version - Vegemite.

Marmite and peanut butter on hot toast is very yummy.

I've just run out of Marmite, so thanks for reminding me  . And wyrdness is correct, spreading very thinly, or applying it in small dots, is the answer - that way it's perfect.

Hey, sorry we couldn't make it. I sent you a PM (two actually) but the board went down, and I couldn't find your phone number. Her boss didn't get home until almost 6pm, and we didn't want to bother you and the kids around dinner time. We are going to stop by this afternoon to pick up the brewing stuff, and if it isn't too much trouble, to see the house.

Now that SVr is back up, I suppose we could raid the fridge, eat all the marmite, urinate in the flower beds and run back home.

THis has been bugging me for a long time. Will someone please comment?
I visited England some years ago and asked the guys I was with "You know those emergency stops on the buses? Do you ever push those?"
"Well, no."
"You must know someone who has, then."
"No, not really."
I was dumbfounded. These were not your average John Q Public upstanding citizens, more like a bunch of long-haired thrashers (actually the guy was IN Thrasher).
"Dude! You've got to be kidding me. Why the Hell not?"
"Well, um, I don't know. Its just not something you would think to do."

Unsatisfactory! Has any of you ever pushed one of those buttons as a young (or old) punk? Was this guy just not with the program? The temptation seems so great! I'd have thought bet you couldn't get a single bus on schedule, heck, evenmore than 500 feet out of the yard with a kill switch on the back. So what's going on over there?
Hmm - what's going on over here that would condition me to think that's abnormal?

I once saw a cyclist in central London wearing a yellow jersey (as cyclists are wont to do). This jersey was the colour of a marmite lid and had the words "I hate jams" and a picture of a marmite jar on the back. I thought that this was great. I hate jams too, which is why I don't drive in central London, though I don't mind them on toast occasionally.
