I went for nearly three months a few years ago. It's great out there, even if most of their beer is undrinkable kangaroo p!ss. I still prefer New Zealand though and am off on holiday there in a couple of weeks.

I'd love to foxtrot oscar to Oz permanently - very difficult to do unless you are on their approved trades list. Could always look at training to be a hairdresser I suppose

Or unless you can lodge a large sum of money in Oz business.

Or unless you have family or friends who can "sponsor" you into the country - which i have. Well, rather my parents have, but they;ve said if i ever wanted to migrate over there, im more than welcome to and they'd sponsor me in... so thats my later life plan sorted out! 8)

Have actually just checked out whether we could go over - looks like it's Ok as believe it or not they actually need more dull finance people like Etienne

I have been in 2 minds about moving there though, as although it's a great place (I did the working holiday thing there a few years back), I think I would miss family & friends here. Wintering there and summering here sounds like it might be a good compromise though!! 8)
