OK guys,

Some of you have been along to the show today (Saturday). What was it like? Any bargains going? Those of us who are going tomorrow would love to hear your comments. I'm posting here whilst waiting for Haggis & his buddy to arrive from the highlands.

REPORTS HERE Please.........

Damn barstewards!!

I guess it was ok- I think that last years was better and the year before better than that. I have got a chain & sprocket set for £95, normally £115 and have found braided hoses for £37 a set, normally £50. The gear is ok, the usual stuff is going - Nitro helmets going for cheap etc. There were some good deals on Arai helmets in the Lowland hall, old designs at £100 off. In hte Highland hall you can get old design Suomi lids for around £100. If you are looking for good leathers (Clover, Arlen Ness, Teknik etc) you can get one piece suits down from £500 to £300. It really depends what you are looking for.

I didn't see the stunt shows but they were reported to be good - the best bit apparently was when the Trials rider clipped the girl that had volunteered on hte basis that she wasn't hurt

Did anyone else see the excellent set-up with Oxford trying to sell their monkey metal chains on one side of an aisle, and Almax merrily choppingup the #170 Oxford Monsters with boltcutters directly opposite? :)

I enjoyed it... Dismally failed to meet up with anyone (though said hello to the CSM crowd, had to sneak in when Drew wasn't there), and my phone battery went flat so if anyone phoned me- Drew, Al, and Jimmy- sorry!

I'd been saving up, so... Got a rather fantastic Belstaff jacket for 100 pounds, down from 250 at Busters... My winter jacket's on its way out so that was ideal. General useful stuff like some stainless disc bolts, tins of ACF50, new gloves, teeny tiny tankbag... But didn't find a leather jacket that I liked. Well, actually found three, a Furygan one and a couple of Alpinestars, but didn't actually buy either. Some special rubbish tools from the rubbish tools shops, a wide variety of fasteners from the excellent Bo'ness Car Restorers shop... And replaced my Banditmania SV baseball cap that I lost ;)

But I didn't do very much actual looking around... Missed all the stunt shows, saw a wee bit of supermoto racing, loads more to see than I managed because of my shopping, so blizzards permitting I'll be back tomorrow.

I always seem to enjoy the show more than most, i really like the shopping side of it which it's pretty good for. The quality seemed a little down this year though

I didn't see anything that tempted me to open my wallet. :?

Once again it was a bit too busy for my liking and I only stayed a few hours. Just as well I got the tickets on the half price offer.

I was going to go back today. Old man weather says no. Though I'm sure it'd be hilarious to watch the stunt show today... "Marc Gillespie, on his new Fireblade, attempts a 12 o clock wheelie!" CRUNCH "Full marks for effort though"
