Decided to visit Hein Gerickes at Braintree this Afternoon with the intension of buying some 2 piece leathers. Well I'd seen some good reports of the Celtic range so tried the Trousers on yep nice fit but when it came to the Jacket their largest size ( euro 58 ) is way too small now while admitting to being a bit portly I'm still only a 44" chest, so am I abnormal? or have any other's had trouble getting Leather Jackets to Fit?
Failing that any recommendation for a reasonably priced 2 piece suit £300 or so?

Having said that Staff seemed very helpful in the store through.

chris (waiting for the "your too fat jokes" )

Well if you are so am i - i have the same problem with size. My wife says big boned though rather than portly... 6'3 and 18 stone was the same at HG in Slough. Frank Thomas 2 peace fitted well at the Honda shop in Chiswick?? Didnt know much about them so skipped them for now... let us know if you discover anything here as I wanted a decent set for spring.

Don't worry about it, I'm 6' and about 13 stone and I struggle to find leathers to fit nicely. I'm a 42" chest.

Yeah. I am not sure how companies work out their numbers. I am six foot, have almost a 30" waist, and a bit more than a 40" chest. Finding any clothes at all, let alone leathers is an absolute bugger. I was told a few times only custom leathers could fit.

Just keep trying on differant makes, and differant models of differant makes. And differant years of the same models...
I tried on two Alpinestars jackets, same model, same size, same colour, same shop, differant years, one was so uncomfortable it was painful, and the other one fitted me ok.

This is where online buying falls apart. Find what fits you nicely, ignore the brand name, price, if it fits I think its going to be safer, (and warmer) than something more expensive.

I have the opposite problem..................being 'too small' for general sizes.

Size 8 womens gear fits in the right places but is always too long in the leg, and the sleeves tend to be too long too.

I have had to buy my gear from Baby Biker...............the bonus being that kids stuff is generally a lot cheaper than adult gear.

My problem is that been so short in the leg, all leather jeans look bulky on me... I plan to get my decent leathers altered this year.

Dude, I would tell you that only custom leathers would fit.

HG's sizes always seemed weird... Very short in the body I felt. Belstaff are odd too (at 5'10 I'm officially a Small, and the small is pretty damn big... I wear the small trousers over a pair of jeans and they're still not tight.)

Every manufacturer's different, just a question of trying everything you like the look of. Dainese used to have a rep as being for the tall and thin, HG definately seem to be or the stubbier individual.

 I know. It used to be worse. I had no shower in my apt, and the wieghts room was next to my department. So, every morning (and almost every evening) I went in for a shower there, after a quick round of weights of course.

At one point I was having a suit made for me by a tailor, who just started laughing half way through measuring me up.

This jacket fits:
http://146.82.66.176/changepics/173_jr_43.jpg although that colour is a bit mank. Just buy a really small leathers, and high boots, zip the lot together and we are sorted for e's and whizz.

Although that Richa Monza jacket is cool. I likey.
