OK, this may very well be me just being a total idiot but...

Got a K5 SVS,

When you turn the ignition on, the bike makes loads of whirring noises (which I guess is the injectors) and then stops. I then pull the clutch in hit the starter and off I go. Once the bike has warmed up and I'm sitting at traffic lights, I can hear the electric whirring noise again. I am meant to hear this?

All of my previous bikes have had Carbs, so I'm new to all this Fuel Injection stuff... I learn pretty fast though!

Cheers Guys!

The whirring when you first switch on is the fuel pump pressuring the system. Quite normal.

Yes totally fine mate. Cars make the same noise just under all the body work you don't notice as much.

If you don't hear it your screwed
Happy Riding

yep, I could hear my K5 doing it too. Putting a loud can on solved the problem.

I always wait until its finished "Powering Up" before I start the bike. No sure if it makes a difference or not, maybe its because I drive diesel cars.

Yep, was riding Samnooshka's K5 on saturday to try and find out why the little sod wouldn't start saturday morning at 8:30 denying me my lie-in... Makes this noise which is a little wierd as all my bikes have been carbed, but normal... very, very normal...

As with Tigersaw, couldn't hear it once it's running over the can...
