So you're on this forum and you don't own an SV. What are you doing here? Do you work for the KGB?

Yes. Whats it pay? Do you have health care?

NO. Then prove it show me your bike  pic's, and at least a 50 word statement as to why YOU SOLD OUT!!!

All in good fun honest  I wont track you down and steal your Ducati (Peter H).

Yup i had an SV. Sold it in July 04. Initially sold it on the false beleif that i wasnt really into bikes "that much". After 3 weeks i was climbing the wall so i bought a CBR400 NC29 from local dealers. Sold that in July 05 after being caught speeding and knowing i was loosing my license as a result.

Currently have a ZXR400 H1 in the garage being done up, doing it a little at a time over the next 2 years and then putting it on the road.

KGB заинтересованн в вашем мотоцикле потому что coldwar излишек и они не имеет ничего более лучше сделать.

I had a Harley, which was much loved by Mrs Wyrdness, and an SV for commuting. The SV was nicked by thieving scum and later found dumped in a river. When Triumph launched the Speed Triple 1050, I knew that I had to have one. So when I got the insurance payout from the SV, I sold the Harley (much to Mrs W's disappointment) and used the cash to buy this:

Had my SV from new for 2yrs[12,000mls] but had decided to change and had a hankering after a Sprint ST which was what I bought after parking the SV in a ditch. Having only lost £500 from the purchase price, time to cut and run

Mutley - that's a nice bike. But that top box and panniers are so big that the Royal Mail will give them their own post code

Valleyboy - you must be in the fire service so you can slide down a pole into your boots

Me - well I sort of sold my SV to the insurance company

the SV

The Gixxer, which I've not collected from the dealer yet

http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e344/fizzwheel/gixxer.jpg

And my current form of transport, as the SV is off the road at the moment. Which I've just fitted new front & rear tyres to and new inner tubes. and now my thumbs hurt, I'd forgotten how difficult it is to get the fricken tyres on

Had a SVsk3 from brand new in 2003. It was 2 1/2 years old when it blew up on me in france. 400 miles from calais. Wanted an sp2 but insurance was i bit steep so i opted for a cbr 600 rr instead. Sexy, faster and its a honda so should be a lot more reliable!

Yep, a brilliant colour 8) but its a biatch to keep looking clean, and if your like me, then everything comes off and gets a clean every few weeks! too much mud on the roads around here! :? plus chain lube tends to get sand and crap stick to it when it sticks to your panels!

Well I am on my first bike, Yamaha Thundercat (blue is the fastest colour).

I did look at getting an SV as they were doing 0% on finance but there were two reasons I didn't

A: The tight barstewards at Suzuki would not let me test ride one... I am not commiting to a few grand if I don't know how it rides..

and

B: (You're going to love this one fellow spies)

IT'S A GIRLS BIKE

I get the feeling that will be felt far and wide..

Ok, I've Never owned an SV

I Joined the site when Benji had his SV650S Curvey (Ok he still has it it just doesn't go anywhere)

Had a Bandit 600 then upgraded to:
http://upload3.postimage.org/54496/DSC00159.jpg (http://upload3.postimage.org/54496/photo_hosting.html)
A rather nice Kwak which I've put 10,000 miles on since July because it handles and stops in a way I could never convince the Bandit to :D

I hang about because the people are great and the reception has been good whatever I've turned up on... To add a little reason for me being here I'm happily living with the lovely Samnooshka and seem to spend a part of my "free time" working on her *very* low SV650S K5

Did you have any issues with lights not being bright enough through the tint?

*edit* sorry for the thread highjack and all that

Does this make me some kind of turncoat double agent then, cool!

I did get the SV first and then kinda adopted a rather pugugly Blade that followed me home from work asking to be loved. One respray, some titainium rearsets and a twin outlet Blue Flame and I have one sexy looking Blade!

I am happy having access to the best of both worlds, v2 and il4. Though if my job does go the way of the Dodo, I hope to be spared the agony of deciding which one to sell to pay the bills - eating is always optional I feel.
