Blimey! I went to bed last night and it was heavily hail storming. Woke up this morning at 5.30 for my morning run and opened curtains..........
.
.
.
.
TOTAL WHITE OUT! Snow everywhere, about 2 inches deep. I knocked the run on the head and instead did some work on a presentation i've got to give in Birmingham next week.
Called a taxi and he arrived about 7.30. Well. The council's gonna be slated for it massively as they didnt grit last night, and the hailstone had frozen, then it snowed, heavily. So we've got 2 inches of snow underneath which is black ice! Lovely!
Saw so many accidents on the drive to work, fender benders - people driving too close to the car in front. Unbeleiveable.
Whats the weather like where you are today?

At the moment the sun is shining but there is still snow bones. It seens like its been like this for week, either snowing, frozen slush or snow bones. Its getting frustrating as I bought my first bike at the start of this cold spell and I'm dying to get out on it. It's given coming warmer next week. Hopefully its the start of spring and some warmer weather! [-o<
All the snow has gone, not even raining at the mo.

Oh i can imagine Peter. I was in Alicante this time of year 2 years ago, and it was absolutely WONDERFUL! Sunny, hot, clear blue skies. I was there for a week and got the most amazing tan!
As i look out of my window at the moment... i see scenes like this:*

Brrr......!!!
*Not my actual view, as i dont have a camera with me, but its a very similar view - building roof tops, covered in snow, overcast sky.
Gonna get more snow later

Dry where I was, but it was a little cold, mainly due to the wind chill factor. Thermal layers still needed!
Cheers

13ºC now, climbing up to 21ºC (forecast, may be even higher), sunny, bright, and dry as a bone. 8) I'm pretty damn good as it is now, so please PH keep your mediterranean weather to yourself, will you? :P

160 Mile round trip for me yesterday. Saw it all, snow, rain and for the first time on a bike, hail. Most of it just felt like driving rain, but the bits that were hitting me in the neck (only exposed bit as I was in a 1 piece waterproof suit) really hurt when going quick.
I even stopped at a services solely to get warm (rather than waiting till I ran out of petrol).

I rode to work in a Blizzard, got to work and it stopped and melted!! lol
well folks ,had to reply to this .i seen the title and thought 'very appropriate'.thats my phone line and internet connection just put back on as it was brought down by the snow ...went to bed on sat night ,woke up on sun morn to go to bike show @ingliston(edinburgh 50 mile),a total white out ,honestly about 8 inches of snow  bike show was cancelled ,car got stuck 200 yards from house, and loads of revellers got stranded in glasgow town centre once they came out of clubs .no taxis or buses as it was undrivable .they had to reopen a nightclub and a bus station i think to give people shelter ,it was a total nightmare .anyway ive not been on-line (obviously)so iv got to read all the latest posts ,byeeee

Worst trip i did on a bike in rain was Leeds to Brussels in pouring rain - 18 hours nonstop (apart from lunch in Dunkirk and 3 hrs kip at dover cos we wre so wet). Then it rained all the way around belgium, germany, luxembourg (4 days riding) Then i did luxembourg back to york in 14 hours in pouring rain. I was soaked, tired but ecstatic!
