Hello ****ers! :D

Anyone out riding next weekend, assuming weather gets better (can you believe March will be over half way through next weekend? )

If anyone is, email or text me (or PM if you have neither) as wont be checking here much. I need to get out and charge battery so unless its really wet or really cold will be out.

Adios.

Not sure about this weekend: too tired at the moment. But the
easiest way to keep the battery going is to commute, at least from
time to time.

BTW, like your new Avatar.

Have fun though .. and lets hope this snow stops soon

The weather is indeed not very pleasant. Yesterday it was snowing
slightly when I was riding back from work but, fortunately, the snow
didn't settle.

I dont have to work the weekend now  do I bleed my brakes as I have been planning on doing for the past few weeks... or go out and play  Hmmm.... tough one there! and as I almost ended up getting killed (again) on monday, i want to end the week witha calming few miles

Quite windy here in Wiltshire as well. Just came home after walking the dog
and it was not very pleasant.

Whos out and about tomorrow then ?? Ive been messing with my spark plugs today, so need a good day out to ermm.. 'test' them  as I have found a little problem on my bike that needs sorting / testing... bike attempts to throw me off if I give a fist full of throttle in 1st... accelerates like hell, stutters ,at which point I nearly fly over the bars, and then accelerates as normal again... mildly irritating.. as its spoiling some of my madness

Plan change. Morrisons filling station, Cribbs at 11am. Stretchie has already agrred to meeto someone there and doesnt have good internet access so going with his plan. Coming over VB? Unsure of ride type, most likely spirited if Stretchie's involved

valleyboy
18-03-06, 09:09 PM
Actualy, that might be a tad too far for me... moneys a tad tight at the mo... and the rate Im burning petrol at the moment on it  will probably stick to my side of the bridge for a bimble...

as for bike trying to throw me off.... well, it hasnt done that before.. I've been potching about with it, and now the Remus is on, I suspect it needs a re-map.. so off to find a dyno somewhere!

Your about 1h from Cribbs Causeway shopping centre, Ape. Its junction 16 or 17 (?)M5. Note we are going out with a bloke scrubbing in tyres on some big naked 1400 thing for an hour or so and then off for a blat after that (if the scrubbing isnt a blat).

Rich, Stretchie.

Thanks for the ride, sorry to cut short. I shall let you know when I have a full day free to play properly.

Was quite amusing to see bikes going in a straight line yet still cranked over. Was rather windy over the bridge.

Good to see you, Si. We rode a fantastic back road through to Usk went to Aber bus station meet which was quite busy and Stretchie managed to get someone to do some spannering on his bike   and also the most excited German GS rider, then rode the reverse and home. Got home about 5pm. I now have a nice loop in mind incl. Aber bus station so if you are free on a sunny sunday just get in touch. Oh and the bridge was windier on the way back

Well you must have been then when we were then. I saw a red TL. I was on the matt black/silver GS (the nice looking one, not the horrid stock or stupidly over farkled ones that was there  ) and stretchie was on the blue 'cat. Begs the question...what were you riding  Oh, if it was a repsol Firestorm, I reckon I saw you. Well I saw a repsol bike, anyhow. Typical!

I had a great day, cheers lads.
Dr Rich, I can't make it next week, I'm going to Manchester for the weekend, mothers day and all, if I don't need to pick owt up then I'm going on the bike and going to do Matlock and Cat and Fiddle.. Woo hooo

Yeah, that bloody bridge, I saw my R's when infront of me I saw Dr Rich get on the bridge and get thrown across the lane until he leant right over just to go in a straight line.. I SLOOOOOWED down and cacked myself..

I'm definatley converted, I LOVE wales. Valleyboy, I thought I saw you yesterday just before the roundabout at the end of the M48, I beeped and waved.. Wasn't you eh? Opps

valleyboy
20-03-06, 05:59 PM
No wasnt me! I was on the M4 for about 5 minutes yestarday.. but that was to cut out most of Cardiff... got to do 2 miles of filtering though.. got confidence on it now, so was going between lorries with inches to spare!

The thing is often people have no idea what said other party actualy looks like/rides. Perhaps we should start a thread 'Post pic of yourself / your bike to aid socialising'

Dr Rich is easy to spot, he'll be the one with the ice cream on a really cold day. If he follows you on a sunny day, its like having Darth Vader breathing down on you every time you look in your mirrors.

Jabba likes burgers and leaky waterproofs

Valleyboy, will be the one producing all kinds and layers of waterproofs from no where

Proffessor, has tiger ears and a tail on his lid and its not a proper rideout unless you get a picture of it in the photos section.

Thats for starters...

I've got my forum name on my plate, and my exhaust is chuffin loud

The thread and picture of your bike is a good idea though

valleyboy
20-03-06, 07:57 PM
I only had that many waterproofs.. as I know what the weather is like around here!

They do come in handy every once in a while.. even if its just to keep the wind off! though make an irritating flapping noise above 90mph!

As I'm not overly computer literate could someone tell me how to post a pic on here? Ta

Tis easy.

When you make a new post under the emoticons is an "add image" button. Click that and then it will bring up a new window, which I think has a browse button onit, Click that, browse round your local drive till you find the picture you want to upload, highlight it and then click I think the upload buttong and as if by magic your picture will appear in your post

I think...

Alternatively use somewhere like photobucketit or uploadit.org and you can host your images there, have a google for either, its pretty simple.
