A while back PB magazine did an article about a SV650 conversion to beat a Ducati 748. Does anyone know the outcome of this as I can only find one article?

I read it a couple of weeks ago. Basically tuning the chassis of the sv and modding the engine to about 750 made a very good bike. But by the end the Ducati was only a bit dearer and quicker overall.

IIRC they bored it to 700 and I think the Ducati worked out £2000 more expensive. They were about the same to insure and performance in most areas was similar with the Ducati just having the edge in all categories, bar looks, where it obviously wiped the floor with it. :)
