Dream Machine charge about £150 - £200 per wheel I think. That includes polished rims and powder coating the middle to a colour of your choice.

Do it yourself!

Save a fortune and feel all smug at the lush results. 8)

Takes about an evening per wheelrim to wet&dry it back to bare metal. Buy a £20 polishing kit, you'll need it for the upkeep anyway even if someone else does it the first time. And then just as many times over with the autosol as your fingers can withstand.

Seems like an ourful lot of work, plus wouldn't i need to take the tyre off :?

The only trouble with having polished rims is the upkeep. They discolour very quickly if not kept polished. The alternative is to have them lacquered afterwards but then you loose some of the shine.

is it worth doing then or just leaving the the dull grey that they are??

All down to individual choice m8. If you think it's worth it, then it is.

Personally I hate polished wheels unless they're on a polished bike... That wee bit of shiny on an otherwise dark bike just looks wrong to me. Especially a grey-framed bike.

Its all just fashion and if you want your bike to look like something out of the 1980's then get stuck in. One of the things i really like about bikes is fiddling with them to make them your own. The shiney wheel rims doesn't appeal to me (on a custom low rider yeah, way cool) but who am i to judge. :) Now shiney rims, forks and frame on a naked bike would be the right direction, but something would have to be done with the engine as a the grey block will clash, perhaps if it were the same colour as the tank.... hmmmm. Photoshop anyone????

dont do it!!!!!
argggggghhhhhh
if you ride it through the winter it will rot!!!!!!!!!
polished rims are real nice but not worth the hellish elbow grease you need to put in to them!!!!

Powdercoat them!

And polish the forks instead.
