I was looking at buying some Led indicators, the guy in the shop said that I would need a resistor to correct the flash rate.

Can anyone explain to me where you connect the resistor too.
The resistor he was trying to sell was Motrax universal one at £20.00.

I have done a search but it only turned up connecting a seperate resistor to each indicator.

Any help would be appreciated.

try maplins. . . only a few pence.

I bought 10 ohm 10 watt (I think) resistors from Maplins - about 40p each - and wired one in to each indicator.

I have no electronics experience but still managed to wire them in easily enough.

£20 is taking the ****.

Thanks for the replies.

This one resistor is supposed to do away with having to fit 4 individual ones but if they are only a few pence each then I think I will pay a visit to Malpins.

I first put some resistors like Mattsv used on the back indies which i changed to leds. Worked fine but the resistors got quite hot. When i added leds on the front as well i used some more of the 10w 10ohms maplins. Just could not get it to flash right unless i added 2 resistors to each indy on front. Swapped them all for the ones from H Gericke and works very well and they run so much cooler. They cost quid each from HG

The £20 would be for a relay - not resistors - a relay is the proper way to do it - resistors are a bodge......(yes they do work but....)

They are not a bodge if you do it correctly and there is no direct replacement relay for the SV that will solve the problem
