Alpinestar Bullet Trainer Boot

I wondered if anyone has or has worn a pair of these and what they were like.
All comments would be great.

Don't know much about these but i'm sure Hien gericke does a very similar boot (more like walking boots) and not too expensive either, and they're waterproof (gortex).

I checked the Hein Gericke website and the equivalent you do is a lot more expensive than the alpinestar ones I found. I may pop in to take a look, but it might just be on my way to infinity to get the alpinestars :wink:
I'll be in soonish anyway to have a look at some leathers. :D

I was really going down the road of some armoured jeans and a pair of these for the summer. Until I hit tarmac last night (when I had considered going out in jeans) and decided that it's leather or nothing in future...

I have some draggin jeans, the combat ones. They are designed to protect you from, well, getting dragged down the road. The initial bump will still hurt like buggery, but the slide damage and road rash you'll be protected from.

They are great for summer, and it means you don't look a bit odd when you go out, well not as odd, ok I still look odd :(

'Joe Rocket' do some riding 'trainers,' look cool IMHO, but the amount of protection they'd give you looks minimal :!:

I like the look of the 'Atomic' shoes, would look OK with Hood or Draggin jeans IMHO, but again, what protection :?:

Yeah I know what you mean about protection. The alpinestar ones look a bit better in protection, well a lot better. The sidi ones look very good too for protection, but no where seems to sell them.

I've got some Alpinestars "Stroke" which are quite similar.

I've not had them long but initial impressions are:

As a normal shoe:

great, quite comfy, looks ok.

As a motorcycle boot:

The little straps to stop your laces getting caught round anything are a waste of time, I need to modify these on mine so they actually work.
Felt a bit clumsy, felt strange changing gear to start with.
No boot/ trouser overlap, need to get some thicker socks
