:D  i did a burnout on wednesday night for the first time since my little accident (do a search for more info) well i did it my clutch is fine & today i did another @ the lights on deptford high st  i can't help it now i can do it i feel the need to @ every set of lights.
in summary it's not big & it dents you wallet (so i shall not be doing it to much) but it is fun  too see the look on the cagers behind, not i can see them through the smoke
I remember my front wheel doing a burn out on wet leaves round your neck of the woods...
Quite expencive for repairs...
and people still take the pith....
so In my honest opinion.. Please don't do it on the road .....
As I saw a Chav doing the same thing in his Corsa with his handbrake on, spinning his front wheels.... I was thinking Pr1ck.... as I went passed him on one wheel flicking the bird.. .... ( in my mind )
sorry call me old fashion....... ( but old fashion always come back in Fashion)
I can feel the flames from here... ;)

Thought that might have got deleted.
I'll put it a different way:
I really don't think doing burn outs at lights is in the slightest bit big or clever, if anything it is the most hazardous 'stunt' you can pull in public. Especially at a crossroads or traffic lights. Lots of smoke so that cars can't see any other traffic coming, or bikes, or cyclists? So very very clever :?
Sorry for the rant but imho, it is one of the worst things to do on public roads.
James, Why? :?
can i ask the same question too?

James... tho i'm pleased to hear you have figured out how to do it with costing yourself the price of a new set of leathers I gotta agree with the above sentiments.
Time and a place young man, please show a little self control on public roads. Naughty!
Hang on, we forget that James is a Bad Ass biker, flauting laws where ever he goes ;)

okay MR oneway street soho man
I HAVE done a rolling burnout. I was actually trying to do a wheelie away from a cafe, the ground was rather damn and the rear wheel span. I did it in front of a few people so rather than loose face, I kept the throttle pinned. Eventually the rear gained traction and the front rose up in the air.
Damn, I just wish I could do that on purpose.
As for James doing it at every set of lights. Well apart from the expense, that is also a sure fire way of getting caught by plod. Either directly or being reported. I'd be a bit careful if I were James.

Now now, James, don't get all touchy. Remember, it's an open forum. People are bound to express thier opinions on what you submit.
Personally I don't have a moral issue about doing burnouts. I just wish I was rich enough to be doing more. Just stating that doing that is more likely to see your collar felt by Mr Policeman.

a few years ago i was coming down the A13 and i come up behind my boss's car sat at a red light, so i pulled in front of his brand new Range Rover and do the mother of all burnouts, :D i drive off laughing my tits off. what i didnt realise was i had covered the front of his car including his windscreen with molten rubber. he then had to have the car professionally valeted and guess who ended up paying? :? Doh!!!!!!

actually, he's a spot on bloke (most of the time) he's picked me up from the side of the road after slinging my brothers brand new zxr down the A2 at 80 mph and breaking my collar bone, he's attended court twice for me (speeding and wheelying) wasnt tooooo ****ed off when i totalled his car or when it got towed away whilst he was in court giving evidence for me. however when he found out i'd ****ed in the kettle at work (long story) to get back at the night shift, it's probably been the only time i've been in fear of losing both my job and my life!!!!

Flippin eck mate. You are a bloody liability.
Only just found this thread, what a stupid thing to do. If you want to do these sort of stunts then find a empty carpark and practice there, do not do it in traffic. I'm not sure I've heard something this stupid in a while.

I'm with Kate on this one - you only have to look at what's being said about Frith St at the moment to get a good idea of how this sort of stuff gets peoples backs up - and the result is directed at ALL bikers.
