There are two sensible options when in Luton.
One involves going to the airport and the other involves going to the M1.
Both involve leaving ASAP.

You forgot the one about the nuclear bomb :D
Option 3 :)
I live and work in Luton so I consider myself a good authority when I tell you your best option is to get out of coming here at all costs, its a poo hole :D

Wander round the Vauxhall plant or is that why you are going there in the 1st place?

Scoobs,
Ignore these people, Luton is a wonderful place full of culture and distinguised residents. The wall art using spray cans is second only to the Louvre!
The food is of the highest calibre and only the most finest fresh lamb is selected for the kebabs for people of a selfish palate. The Vauxhall factory is a must see visit which was voted as one of the greatest land marks North of London in the Sun newspaper.
Next week I shall introduce you to the how Port Talbot is twinned with Monaco.
So the answer is NO then.

Beirut looks better!
OK then... seeing as it's not safe to venture outside of my hotel, can someone check out the Hotel Ibis near the airport and tell me if there is any pay TV?

Pay TV just shows up as communications, so some of my colleagues (not me honest guv) charged their foreign video watching back to the company.
So the answer is NO then.
but we've got a two page thread about it.
which is nice
