just wondering if this is a common thing or am i just weired :?: aint had any trouble with y eyes b4 i started this job n i dont wanna go messing them up!

I spent 11 hours staring at my works PC screen yesterday without any break.

When i left the office and stepped into the street, it felt kinda wierd, i was disorientated and dizzy. It was warm, yet raining, the air smelt like it had a fresh "taste".. strange sensation.

I presume its because id spent all day couped up in my office box in front of the screen looking at numbers.

Not good. :?

I work in computers too. You really really should take a break. Not only does it put massive strain on your eyes, it tires your brain and can effect your concentration with other things.

Im pretty bad for it, but make sure i try to get away for a few minutes evey couple of hours (at worst). Cup of tea, go to the loo, go for a quick walk round the building, anything.

You really should take some breaks fella :) Or you will feel like :compcrash: at the end of the day.

No, it was because you smoke like a chimney and you've forgotten how good fresh air can be

That as well Ed. Tell you whats worse.. work have now said "as we all smoke here.. if you want to smoke at your desk - thats fine by me.. just make sure the office doesnt smell of smoke."

So we've all got glade plug ins.. together with ashtrays on our desks...

Ahhh... bliss... All i need now is a coffee maker on my desk and im sorted!

Used to happen occassionally (blurry eyes) in work. I just insisted they get me a big monitor that I could run at the same resolution. They did, problem solved.

Buy a bigger screen and stop doing it with the lights off
