A chap seemed very interested in buying my SV but could not raise the full asking price. I was able to reduce the price a bit but we couldn't find a mutually acceptable price.
Since then he has been e mailing details of other SVs that have failed to reach reserve on E bay and uses this to tell me I am asking too much. (Though he hasn't bought any of these!)
I don't care if I sell it or not, but he has taken it as a personal insult that I wont come down to his price.
His last e mail contained the following phrases:
Anyway it seems you are not willing to listen in relation to the price for your bike, so I bid you farewell.
I have now got too frustrated with your refusal to accept that you are are looking for too much money for your bike.
Anyone else had experiences like this?
He's obviously a total pillock Chris, particularly as your bike is in such excellent nick - ignore him ;).

The guy obviously has a problem. Just because he has not got the funds to match your price does not make it your problem! Jerk. :?

Yeh, he wont knock the smile off my face.
I'm now the proud owner of 2 bikes, the SV and the new Bonneville T120. Not everyones cup of tea but its exactly what I've been searching for.

That's what's important, if you like it who cares what anyone else thinks - and the T120 certainly looks like a "proper" Triumph, very nice.
And once you've sold your SV, don't be a stranger ;).

Someone hoping to secure a bargain then?
"I bid you farewell" sounds fairplay to me.

I think it's because he can't get a good deal for him, he wants your bike at his price, and he's got no one else to take it out on?
That's a nice bike Chris, first time i saw one, I though it was a restored oldy with a custom made pipe (only bit I think they got wrong), I've had a go on the T100 and the Thruxton, it'd be a tough choice between them for me, I think Triumph have done a wonderful job on the styling.
definetly gives the old "ton up boys" feel.
Cheers Mark.

Funnily enough, with the little kink in the pipe just before the silencer, I agree, but I think its for road clearance.
I do remember how easy it was to wear holes in the silencer of my original Bonny. Showers of sparks were good but not very safe

Well the Hammers own a bit of Brighton history with Zamora
I must admit having a bit of a soft spot for West Ham. Many of my friends in Herts and Essex support them.

Well, to answer the actual question, personally I'm Mr Angry because of my tiny manhood.

That Bonny does indeed look sweet! I had one pull up along side me the other day when I was in the four wheeled thing. A real motorbike! Pulled away lovely and smooth and a very pleasant exhuast note to it.

The only shortcoming with the Bonny is that its not supported by a Forum like the SV. Its very difficult getting the sort of support and guidance that you get on this site.
This forum, and all who run it, definitely adds value to the SV 650 :drink:

Chris...Unfortunately many of the die hard Bonnie owners will be a little phased by all this computer technology and tinternet stuff mate! They come from a simpler time when a meet at a greasy café was where the words of wisdom were distributed! :P

The problem with that smiley, is that quite a lot of the time it looks like he's pleasuring himself. Or is it just me?

I was very lucky. It was bought new last Sept and the owner then put out 2 discs in his neck and couldn't ride it. He covered only 286 miles dry miles.

I heard from the dealer that it was coming in Sat before last, which co-incided with the dealers Triumph Classic open weekend so there were lots of buyers around. I arrived about 2 minutes after the owner delivered it to the garage and before they could put a price ticket on it, it was mine. Saved over £1000 :D :D :D :D
Not quite as polished as my SV, but it soon will be.

That Bonny is very nice Chris. Not quite my cuppa but each to their own! As regards Ol' Nobby and the price - **** him. Its your bike and your price. You don't have to sell to him, and I wouldn't now on principle! Hope you shift it soon.
