Hi all,
Together with some friends I am organising a fashion show to be held at the Royal York Hotel on 9th July 2006.
This is in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. If anyone wants to book a ticket, please PM me, alternatively, to make a donation, please follow this link:

Each penny raised helps the trust develop a cure and also to look after those suffering from this terrible disease.
Please dig deep and sponsor us as best you can.
Many many Thanks,
Joe Lillie

I say it is shaping up to be a real daaahling event if you can get those names involved! Will the hired help basher(Naomi) be making an appearance? You could have a word with Kate and tell her the fee is not to be "sniffed" at! :P

hehe
Fashion is most definately NOT my forte, however Events Organisation and Business most definately is.
Organised a Rock Climbing event in 1999 and again in 2000 which raised money for the local Air Training Corps (and i climbed in it myself)... we raised a combined total over the two years of £2.5k which turned out to be the highest single contribution to the fund. Got local media coverage on that one too... only problem was they put me down in the press as being Mr Joseph WILLY!!!! Did they know something then which i did not? :?
This event is going to be spectacular when it comes together, only real problem ive got is that the person who wants it done only brought me on board to take over a few days ago, so time is of the essence (the event i organised in 1999 and 2000 i had 12 months to prepare for each one).
Its actually quite good that im getting a reputation for being successful at organising events from the ground up, as its a plan i have for setting up my own consultancy firm in 15 years time. If i can get lots of "pet projects" under my belt, i can use them to showcase my abilities when it comes to making a living from it.
So go on Peter.. follow the link and stick a fiver in the fund... remember, every single penny goes to a fantastic and worth while cause.

Okay, done!!
Peeps - this really is a worthwhile cause. My daughter's friend was diagnosed with CF at age 2. As well as helping people with CF, the CF Trust is funding genetic research - the defective gene has been identified and they are trying to find a way to repair it and to enable in vitro diagnosis. I've sent Joe a few £££, it's only half a tank of fuel.

Tut Tut Tut.. are you all tight-fisted?
141 views... but only one donating person (thanks ed for that!).
If each of you had donated £5 that would be a massive £705!!!!
Come on peeps... im sure you cant all have short arms and deep pockets.
Sacrifice half a tank of petrol for those who may never experience what we take for granted.

Many Thanks to all who have donated. It truely is very much appreciated.
Total so far is £75.00 our target is £3000. Tickets for the event go on sale shortly retailing at £10 per ticket. Theres 250 up for grabs.
The organisation is coming along nicely... i cant say exactly who is donating clothing to the event, as thats a strict secret, but i can give you one or two names... O'Neil clothing (based in California) have agreed, as well as a major italian designer of female clothing...
Press Releases are going out shortly to all local media, a representative from the trust is due to be there on the day to accept the cheque and pose for photographs. Not only this, but 1 clothing store has offered useage of their professional models, and we are indiscussion with Yorkshire Television to see about getting a few actors to be in attendance, and possible even model for us.
Cystic Fibrosis has a list of celebs who attend fundraising events free of charge and we are currently looking into the possibility of getting a well known celebrity there to give the media something to really chew over.
All in all, things are progressing well, still a lot to do, and many sleepless nights to come, but we're heading in the right direction.
If anyone still wants to donate, please follow the link given in the first posting on this thread... give as little (or as much) as you want/can afford. Regardless of amount, I, and many others am extremely greatful for your time and effort, and of course your generous donation. It truely is for a worthy cause.
