I'm going to head for the Cat & Fiddle in about an hour to scrub in the new Avons. Anybody fancy a run over? I'll check back here in a bit.

Love to mate, unfortunately I'm shackled to my desk until 16:00 :(
Have fun and take it steady on that new rubber.

Would've been great Ratty but was stuck in work till 4.30. Did you have fun?

Is it just me or is it much more fun Macc to Buxton than Buxton to Macc?

I prefer it like you say.. Macc to Bux rather than Bux to Macc.. not sure why, but the road just seems to fall better.

Hello Dan

I was dodging the showers on the way up there. Got to C & F pass from the Macc side and it must have been raining up there about half an hour before. Had a wet ride up with just a couple of exposed bends showing a slight dry line. Stopped at the pub for five mins and tried to sus the weather on the Buxton side. Decided to shoot back down to Macc because I had seen a coulpe of lads heading back over that way. The road was drying quickly. Got to the bottom and stopped to chat to the two lads. One on a ZX9R and the other on an 05 K5 naked. Went back for a third pass and it was almost totally dry and had a good fast run with the ZX9 and getting most of the tyres scrubbed (virtually all of the left side rear). Then took them down Long Hill. They went back for another run and I shot back off down the A6 to a now sunny Stockport to do the school run. Twas a good ride. The lad on the K5 comes on here but I didn't get his nickname. They were from Warrington. Catch you soon Dan.
