Do the DVLA or VOSA send you a reminder when a vehicles first MOT is due ?

MOTd mine on Friday - the CCC "road legal" exhaust passed with its baffle in and the grand total was £23.60... :)

Better dig the V5 out and check then.
Thanks

I was thinking about this just the other day.

I was also thinking that my bike will probably have done well over 30,000 miles by the time it has it's first MOT, compare that to other bikes which may not have even reached 5000 in that time. That doesn't really make sense to me, if i wasn't servicing it regularily it could be in a hell of a state by it's first MOT and probably unroadworthy. I suppose they assume people look after new bikes and do get them serviced, during the standard warranty period.

I think they are gonna start soon because of the new system.
