I spoke to Alis family and best mate and they have requested due to Alis love of bikes that as many bikers as possible attend the whole of Ali's funeral to be held tomorrow, Wednesday the 5th of April 2006.

The proceeding will start with prayers at 12:30pm at Regents park mosque at 146 Park Road(there is a seperate area for non-muslims to pay their respects) and the family would like us to be part of the procession from Regents park mosque (at 1:30pm) to the burial at the Garden of Peace, Elmbridge Road, Hainault, Ilford, Essex, IG6 3SW (2:15pm).

The family said our presence will be much appreciated and ensure all bikers turn up with their bikes even if only for part of the procession.

I would like to have an idea of numbers so if you can make it for even part of the journey or just at the burial please let us know as it would be much appreciated.

I'll fill you in on further details as I get them but please spread the word for now and pull some strings so you can come tomorrow.

To get an accurate figure for numbers could you post on here or post on lb if your coming. Have a look at this post:

Any chance this thread could be made sticky for the day?

Thanks mr admin.
I am sure Ali would really appreciate the rumble of a shed load of bikes to see him off.

Many of us who couldn't possibly make it will feel sad that we cannot show our solidarity and support. I for one will think of a fallen biker tomorrow.

Peace be with you Ali.

39 bikes escorted Ali. It was, yet again, a humbling experience to be part of the final ride out of a felow biker.

Alis parents were gobsmacked that so many bikes turned up and I think that they saw some of what he had been so in love with when they witnessed the cameradie, and the procession, they were genuinely moved, I beleiev it meant more to them than they could describe.

A team of outriders stopped the traffic at junctions which meant, unusually for a London funeral, that the procession arrived together at the garden of rememberance where, quite frankly the most honest and dignified burial I have ever witnessed took place in accordance with the traditions of Islam.

Guys lets make sure that this is the only funeral this year shall we. Ride safe
