What was your best purchase last year. Could be anything from a plasma to a Honda (god forbid  ). Price doesnt matter in fact the cheaper the better. Would love to say the best thing I bought was £1 but it was a little bit more.
For me it was my Gibson Les Paul closely followed by my old Sv650s SY then my (well our) new house.
Feel free to shame any Bar steward that robbed you

Not unfortunately for the kind of pennies you guys are talking, but a little trip up to Valencia saw me parting with one or two notes of the realm and then commencing my relationship with a certain lump of sexy Italian engineering. For me it was indeed a great buy!

In august i would've said our holiday to T'Egypt.....November i would of said my DAS....Then December my SV :D

Technically, I didnt buy this as it was a Christmas Pressie. My first guitar (4 months now).
If we go with something i bought, then it'd be my Gixxer. Although she's been a bit of a pain at times she has managed 14k so far through all weathers and another 2 months of the year left.
Based on average 4k per year i've got another 16k to get her to average. But i'll sell her before then so she's low mileage

Um... a Honda!
Got 'Blue' just about this time last year. Came in as a trade in from work, the sales guys couldn't believe they'd taken it on as it was the most pug ugly duckling of a thing you'd ever seen.
They were sitting in the yard, peeling off the Road Runner stickers and lamenting their fate when I walked out.
I kinda took pity on it and it, well, it followed me home Mum. Honest!
4 weeks later and he was turned into a gorgeous swan, with a little bit of Titainium and a lot of Repsol BLUE paint.

A pair of these.

enabled me to keep riding after the surgery on my foot, if I hadn't found boots I could wear without pain (well mostly) then I think the frustration would have killed me.
( a close second would have to be my triple underseat pipe though 8) )

I don't like the newer ones as much for looks = too pointy.
Hee hee, he's got a nice Blue Flame Twin Outlet Evo on him now too. Sounds luuuuuurrrrvvly.
Now it's sunny again I really must let them both out of hibernation and go take some more pics. If only to prove (again) that he's blue and not black!
The SV's Black! See, you can easily tell the difference: :?

Bought my 'Storm for a cracking price in November; A cheap pair of Allen radios for bike to bike comms with my bro in law. £60.00 all in. (That price does NOT include the 'Storm, just in case you were wondering!) With the kit I bought from Binky61 earlier this year they're bloody fantastic!

Pair of gloves I got in an end of season mail order sale. Thick leather throughout. Insulated with thinsulate, waterproof, not sweaty, great feel, almost like summer gloves, armour on them too. Couldn't ask for a better winter glove (although not tested in a crash yet, they certainly inspire confidence) and then the price: £22 with free P&P :!:

My digital SLR, closely followed by a stunning 19" TFT monitor to look at the pics
Photography has been a hobby of mine for many years, and having spent a lot on money on a conventional SLR camera, and the lenses to go with it over the years, it was great to be able to buy a new body & be able to carry on using the lenses
see here for some recent pics - Safari (http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=35580)
It would be great to be able to buy a new body!
Amen to that brother.
I didn't buy him, though he's has cost me a fair packet..
