Ok bit of a random posting, I apologise if its a bit boring.
For about 2 years now my hair line has been receeding at a nice steady rate. Ive always had my hair cut in such a fashion that enables me to "disguise" the fact.
However as of late its becoming harder and harder, so today when i got my hair cut, i decided to throw caution to the wind, and embrace the new style... receeding big stylee.
Got my hair cut VERY short.. and HOLY SMOKE... it revealed just how far back my hair had actually receeded... :-(
Walked back in to the office, and people commented on it... but i decided to sod it... Ill embrace my forthcoming baldness with open arms.. i cant change it, so why worry about it.
For those of you out there who are bald (Grinch/Scoobs) and those of you who are receeding.. how do/did you feel about getting bald?

When did I become bald?
I have a fine head of hair...

Grade 2 shaved all over. Bought myself some clippers so I can do it myself, saves on haircuts in the long run. Also my lid fits better now than it did to.

Very spooky! Wonder if there are any more similarities!!
Tell you what, perhaps we could swap houses - I'd much rather live around Loch Lomond than the Midlands!
(My brother used to live in Helensburgh and I love the area!)

Im not Embracing Baldness yet, just a bit of grey hair in a patch at the front. At the age of 23.

No, he worked at Dobbies, the Garden Centre there. I can't believe he came back down here last year, leaving Scotland behind - Mad Soul!
Sorry, GYKD, seem to have gone off on a tangent on your post. But anyway, keep your hair short, nothing worse than a bloke trying to hide what we can all see!

Mine receded quite a bit in the five years between being 25 and 30 leaving a "widows peak" but has been fairly stable since then.
THe thought of going bald does worry me I know it shouldn't because its just vanity isn't it.
I think it depends on your face, I know one or two guys who look really good bald.
I've tried the no.1 clippers all over and just look like an escaped mental patient.

  Know the feeling well.
I got a mate whos shaven it all of and it does look really good. I dont think it would work on me, i'd just look stupid. So im gonna keep it there as long as possible, but just keep it short.
Still kinda upsetting to think that i never did get chance to try out blond highlites...
And there was me getting all concerned about my first white hair!

Jo...You could always get your highñlights done "in the basement"! :P
It is a bit of a blow when you begin to release that your full head of hair is not going to stay that way too long! I am pleased to say that it does seem that generally many guys accept the fact more graciously these days.
I now hover between Nş3 cut(winter) and Nş1(summer)if it was not for the fact that I interface with clients I would go the whole head shaved route these days.
Having my remaining hair cut so short is the main reason that I wear a bandana under my lid,I sweat profusely on the bike and would rather it went in to the bandana than the helmet lining. 8)
And there was me getting all concerned about my first white hair!
Found my first one of those about a week ago too ! :D
Pah.. I've had white hair since I left school... its when I found some ginger stuff it shocked me.
No baldness here, but my dad has an impressive "monk patch" and for personal reasons I have had my head shaved grade 1 all over since I was 17 (11 years ago) - if you saw pictures of me before that you would soon see why!
Must have saved myself a fortune on haircuts, bought a pair of Wahl clippers in 1995 and they are still going strong! :)
Well if it ever happens to me I suppose I'll have to deal with it, till then I'll just show off my mane of thick hair to envious and admiring glances...
No no, you really don't have to comment thankyouverymuch

Mines going grey, don't care, not bothered to be honest, I brought a set of clipers and get the wife to give the hair a quick chop.
Less hassle in the morning when I put the old crash helmet on

I always shaved my head from the age of 15 til last year when i decided to grow it.
I too had to have it styled so it would cover the Count Dracula receeding line....then last night (under the influence of cider..well it is nearly summer)..it all came off again
Last year

ah but where on the body was the white hair lol
I've got all my own hair.............................I keep it in a box in the shed.........
Seriously, going a bit grey but don't care.
GYKD dont worry mate, you're not the only one. Im 24 now but ive been going bald since i was 18. People often ask me how i feel about it (Cos ive advanced male pattern baldness) and ive said it doesnt really bother me. Yeah it'd be nice to have a choice but ive been shaving it (now on open blade) for about 3 years now and im cool with it. Just means that i have the mid life crisis now rather than at 40
get some propecia or try a hair transplant they're really good nowadays (look at John Travolta ;) if you've got about 5 grand spare :D
Not bothered, saves money but shave off whats left, who gives a monkey. NOT ME.

Number one clippers since before I spotted the white ones. Bods at work take the p*ss but who cares, not me anyway. It falls out thats fine by me, quicker clipping.

Was told I'd be bald before I was 30, have had a bad widows peak since I cut my hair with a pair of pinkin shears when I was 4, Its stillthe same just wish it wouldnt get so limp and lifeless when it gets long. Have more grey hairs in the beard than on my head. But the hairs purple at the moment after a drunken moment whilst dying the daughters hair.

I got my monks patch from 19  It's not got any worse since.
Been threatening to do the Bic Orange sketch, but 'er indoors doesn't want me to look like a thug :-k It's hard to act like a thug when you're as soft as me
This cheeky beggar at work, who himself is not far from a naked scalp, had the cheek to say I was receeding the other day!!!
Only problem is, once someone says something like that when you're not expecting it, it did make me a tad paranoid about it.
I'm not quite sure what my opinion on it is though, but I know I don't want to be clinging onto my last few strands of hair a la Hulk Hogan. Will more than likely go back to shaving my tate if I go bald.
