Im just going to pootle down there this year, with the other half. Not going to organise anything. However, a meet up down there is doable...i'll be the one on the bike wearting leathers...shouldnt be to hard to spot ;) Well, my bike is easy to spot. Blue and orange with a Twin renegade shotgun system on it :D

I'll probably mooch up to Locksbottom then amble down, not on the A21 mind as its full of tossers usualy and im not going to be taken out my some daft R1 muppet that only got his bike out of moth balls that morning. I shall be wandering off down via bexhill or similar.

Would anyone mind if I taggeda along with em on mayday down to hastings. I know folk meet up at locksbottem but with the A21 resembling a carpark would anyone be leaving from Riverhead on an alternative route.

I never ride the A21 past Tunbridge. i go off down the A267 or that way, and come in on the coast road from Bexhill

I will probably be in the Nettos car park in Locks bottom.

waves at rubbermonkey. I will probably be starting from Riverhead with a Pan and possibly mate on a Gixxer. Cant be arsed to start from Locksbottom tbh. This year I may detour at Flimwell, head down to Rye and go into Hastings on the A259. Not decided yet.

You could do, just dont do the A21 past the Blue boy pub. It gets very very packed and imho dangerous. Its best to meet at the begining, then make a meet point at the end. There is no way that a group of bikes can do the final part of the ride.

Disagree with that. Rictus, TSM, Moriarty, Spiderman, Myself IIRC though Ive probably forgotten someone, managed it last year. :D

A large group on the other hand probably would struggle.

Nope stayed with the Scorpion. Was going to put one on the CBR then it got totalled, so theyre still sitting in my hallway. :? :(

Ah well we won't be coming through Ashford (I live in Folkestone now..!) we'll be doing the Folkestone-Lympne-Rye-Hastings route..

Not arranging a time or anything as my Dad has to pop into work in the morning... we'll just potter on down there, park up in Hastings and if we meet anyone we know then all the better :thunbsup:

it was fantastic! just spent Over 12 hours on my little sv!

went from chertsey (surrey) to couslsdon (and got wet) from there to biggin hill then on to locksbottom for the main ride to hastings! ponce about for a bit with the police takeing the pee out of my ears! then eventually to cambersands! then one long blast home! wow!

too many SV's eyeballed to list

also i hope the rider on the bandit was ok!! (Bandit V Pug 206)

I just got back. Got to locksbottom for 9 this morning inthe rain. Thouht that it may be a wash out, but then it stopped raining and they started coming. (Parked outside the hospice shop if anyone wondered what sv it was. Sadly Doris, my sv was at home with a flat, so was two up on my better halfs bike. Anyhoo, had a wander round, waited for treacle to turn up. Went to get some brekkie from the wagon, to find that Bromley council had shut it down, because it was too close to the road!!!!! So onward. Trundled off down the the Pembury turn off then out through Tunbridge wells, down the 267 to the 272, a little bit of that, then on to the a22(Treacle was leading and got lost :lol:) Through bexhill, and onto hastings. It was verna's 1st mayday run, and she never stopped squeling all day at how many bikes there where. Left there and trundled back home via Rye, Appledore, Goudhurst/A21 to riverhead for food and drink, then home. All in all a great day, with some great company.

3 things that made me chuckle. Bloke pushing his Busa along in Tunbridge wells for some reason, a C90/ZX7RR combination, and the bloke pushing his Gixxer along the A21 on the way home.

Another happy mayday, and lets hope my SV is working next year.
