Was going down a ramp to join A1M and am getting ready to move to the middle lane when i catch a glimpse of a Porsche just as i did a life saver. Guy came out of nowhere and passed so close i dont know how he missed me. So i gave chase for a bit but he starts doing over a ton and i really was not in the mood to risk my licence so held back.
Junction 6 was pretty congested and who do i see crawling along.....ride up along side him and rev the can a few times (no baffle) the guy sat there staring straight ahead and i swear he had sweat on his forehead :laughat:
No idea what he thought i was gonna do but it was good keeping him guessing before i started the filtering :D

Makes you wonder why they do it in the first place. You need to be a little nuts to ride a bike and everyone knows it. So why P*ss us off

just stop beside them and wave your little finger as to show a pinky whilst with a big grin. I did it a few months back and the van driver behind the car ****ed him self laughing and started honking his horn in appreciation which started off a mexican wave of honking horns. Most of the people didnt know the reason i would guess but joined in. So the fella in the motor must of felt a right idiot

By the time i reached him i did not feel so worked up and it was reward enough to see him brick it. Saw him again on way to work this morning....still did not look at me
oh well time to let it go

I don't know about you guys but there are so many idiots out there that to lose your rag with all of them would be just way too much stress in a day for me. Personally I would have tapped on his window and just asked what he was doing. I get these kinds every day so maybe I'm numb to it now.

Take it easy down that stretch of the A1 matey. I've seen a few bikers nearly come off down there. If you've got a dark visor just look at them, it's so intimidating.

Do you have mini indicators on your bike? (Think i might have seen you on that stretch of road a few times)

That's why you do your lifesavers! :)

Actually I reckon most guys with more serious motors, like Porsches and Ferraris are actually pretty good drivers - maybe because they are much more interested in vehicles, and driving in general, than the average car driver. It's the chavved up Nova brigade that always seem to be a nightmare on the roads!

I am not so sure, coming down the M1 I have had no end of trouble from high end sports cars that want to try it on. Even when I have a pillion (the wife) on the back, I actually have a mental list of number plates from cars that stuck on my ****, or the classic, they pull by me than cut me up and slam on the brakes! :toss:

I just filter by them in traffic.

Actually in retrospec that does not happen all the time, but still!

Mind you there is a guy in a Auston Martin DB9 that I see fairly often, that guy seems to actively watch out for bikes and always gives a wave (a rare nice guy).

I guess I am just a little paranoid on the M1.

Cheers

If you think the odd fast motor on the Mway 'trying it on' is annoying, spare a though for me.

Where I live on the border of Surrey there seems to be a huge number of tossers in 'proper' cars, ie Porsche, Lambos, Ferrari, Astons.. (Millionaires playground and all that).

I'm a really laid back bloke but find it really hard not to react some times when they try it on. Get it much too often.

Usually I just want a nice easy ride or I might be commuting to work!, ....I'm normally really sensible..honest.

my mate once got some grief from an old bloke who pulled out to stop him filtering so he stoved the door panel in with this heavy boots.

The trouble is if you did that every time your boots wouldn't last very long these days. !

Yer this happens but its best to ignore it and carry on and stay calm, as alot of accidents happen just after some incident like nearly hitting a car and because they are worked up dont concentrate.

Even so its always good to give em the finger and a couple of revs before going on your way

That sweat on my brow was cos Mrs Quiff was "asleep" in my lap ....

I apologise.. I will not drive my porsche down there so fast inthe future..... and will get Mrs Quiff to heads up!!!

Just let them get on with it and rest assured that they are obviously less well off in the trouser area than you are.

Even flippin the bird to somebody can escalate into a nasty situation. Remember cagers are surrounded by metal and four wheels a little tap is all it takes and you're on the floor its not worth it.

*note I dont always follow my own advice
