Optimate III SP chargers

Got one already for my SV. Excellent piece of kit.

Is it a luxury to have another one for my wife's CBR125R?

Both bikes ridden infrequently, esp my wife's Honda. Only done 176 miles, yes 176 miles, in 13 months. Pregnancy, and all that. Don't want to sell it, though. Gorgeous in red/black, even if I say so myself!

What do you think?

the optimate is great! me and my cousin have both got the wiring harness so the charger just clips on(he keep his bike in my garage) and its so easy to give both battery's a boost every now and again. money well spent I'd say.

I've got a cigarette type fitting,spring loaded cover, with a 10amp inline fuse fitted direct to the battery
Bought the same plug and fitting for the charger,so now every time I put it in the garage I just slip the plug in and forget it 1day,10 days or a month no problems
This also means you have a 10amp power take-off available for razor,Ipod or phone charger,whatever
If I remember correctly the extra plug/inline fuse and socket only came to £10odds
but its the best or most useful mod if ever done on a bike and it fits very discretely at the side of the fairing

I think Carsck's spot on... It's purely down to how much the hassle saved is worth to you. I'd do it without a thought, but then that's why I never have any money.
