"The Bush administration is planning to use nuclear weapons against Iran, to prevent it acquiring its own atomic warheads, claims an investigative writer with high-level Pentagon and intelligence contacts."

Emm. I mean, I know that just because some head honcho Pentagon dude allegedly says its on the cards, doesnt mean its going to happen. But... em, lads, did it ever occur to you that you dont rule the world?

Oh yeah, if you were wondering who this journo posting this is, its Seymour Hersh. He broke the My Lai massacre and its cover up and won a Pulitzer. This might be for real.

Us guys? Irish people? We never really had much of an issue with this as far as I know.
Maybe you mean the English? Well, I would say that some of what the English have done through history was a bit dodgey. But, the thing is, this doesnt really make it OK for some other country in the world to do whatever they like to whomever they like for all eternity.
Right now I am not worried about the UK. I am worried about the US being run by a mentally ill man, and dropping nuclear bombs on countries.

Bunch of loonies playing at running the world according to their own warped sense of right and wrong.
Political leaders claiming they take their advice directly from God.
Truley a case of the lunatics running the asylum, the way i see it.

It happens every time some one gets control for of a powerful country for a length of time. They get arrogant and driven by their own ego for "more power".
Bush is just 1 example, but it's happened throughout History.
.
Oh dear, America up to it again though we did help in Iraq so we cant blame the Americans entirely.
Its crap that the government is elected by the people to look after the country and look after the peoples best interests. Yes you could argue by bombing Iran they are stopping a future threat to mankind but their are other more less violent means to do this. And like the UK im sure theres alot of issues within the country that need to be addressed like imigration...poverty...health issues...crime rate
Its like a card trick in my opinion, make the people look one way with one hand and then take with the other hand and deaden other issues

The chances of America declaring war on Israel are as great as me beating Valentino Rossi on a lap of Mugello! :P

Seems secret israeli nuclear weapons programs are OK, but Iranian ones aren't. Watched Jack Straw on tv with Andrew Marr this morning. Was hoping he'd ask him the difference between the two but it never happened. My wait continues.

It'll never happen thanks to a little known policy agreed on by Israel and the Us, called the Nuclear Ambiguity programe.
This same programe ensures inspectors are kept out of Israel's nuclear plants and "Israel's nuclear ambiguity lets it skirt US laws against supporting countries that proliferate non-conventional weapons, and thus it receives $2.8 billion in annual aid from Washington. Couldn't help but laugh at this:
Such theories sit well with Israeli journalists like Michael Karpin, whose "A Bomb in the Basement" enjoyed unprecedented access to the nation's atomic architects and privileged files. He attributed this to the fact the film was made shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks on the United States: "It seems Israel, fearing a new and yet- unknown global terror threat, decided it was time to reveal more of its own threats."
Roughly translated as, "Israel, knowing full well it was now pulling the American puppet's strings, decided it no longer needed to be so secretive of its own nukes because America was off to fight israel's wars for them."

What's funny is no one even thinks of questioning the US in their role as the worlds police man. They just decided this. I am sure that it costs them a lot of money, and gets them a lot of grief. Being a cop is never easy.
But, there just seems to be nothing in the world policing the police. Bush is clearly barking mad. Where do you go from here? How do things get better again?

Thats a bit of an odd attitude?
"We will die, so why not die now?"
The end will come, but we don't have to help it on the way.
I'm not to keen on ANY country having nuclear weapons.
So we have one country who is "barking mad" and might fire off a nuclear weapon and kill lots and lots of people, because they are all messed up because of their religion and their leader.. (yeah, you guess what country im talking about now, because it's not that clear if you look at it like this!)
Unfortunatly nobody wants to lay down their arms (well, i bet the actual people wants to, but none of the leading prats).
I hope Tony don't go stumbling in to this one: "sure, why not?"
