Bought some Barr's IRN-BRU the other day as I had read (probably on here) that it worked as a good hangover cure.

I was just reading the ingredients and noticed that it contains quinine :shock:
So as well as curing your hangover, it should sort your malaria out as well ! :wink:

That's good value, 2 for the price of one. I'm allergic to the diet stuff, it entertainingly gives me the exact visible symptoms of meningitis, great if you want a day off work.

Think you've just solved a problem. I get really bad headaches from Malaria tablets and as It happens Irn-Brew.

I'd never tried before sunday, wasn't sure about the first one but I've had a few now and I think I'm getting a taste a for it .

Tis our other national drink, was weaned on it, like mamma's milk :shock: (like the advert they banned)

most of the bill board adverts are pure class as well as the tv ones

Used to be in the actual factory in Wishaw in the 60's, me old grandfather was the night watchman and I used to lend him the family dog and the 3 of us were "guardians" of the Irn Bru - nobody messed with Sheba, a 3 foot in diameter matted fluff ball with no neck, 4 wee legs and a bark that would strip paint :shock:

All you could hear was the ferocious bark then when you looked down, there she was, looked like a rat on a rope !

Oh...and.. the local night shift policemen used to visit as well for a blether with grammps, the beggars used to fill their car boot with the stuff on the way out !!! :lol:

Reminds me of a drink i only ever found in Scotland. Jusoda (sp?). Kinda like a mix between irn bru and tango if i remember correctly.

Anyone know if you can get this outside Scotland, like here in london???

Think you are one of the few who has heard of that, I know a few Jocks and Irish and they bring us some when the pop over, most people I know think it's a fantasy and a figment of folk-lore,

Wierd thing is that I love it, but my girlfriend (who's from Glasgow) doesn't like it - something to do with the Clyde masses drinking it when not drinking McEwens... :shock:

Irn Bru is my lifeblood I can't go a day without about 2 or 3 cans... I have no teeth and i'm verging on diabetic but hey, I must get my fix...

I get the DT's when I'm away on holiday, scary stuff IRN BRU!!!

Tizer is a girls drink compared!!!

Barr's American Cream Soda is also good, you can feel ure teeth rotting as soon as you hear that SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSsssssssssssss as you open the bottle...

The Irn-Bru chewbars are even worse - absolute brutes to chomp a corner off of, you can feel your teeth getting wrenched from the gums. :shock:
The sugar content is scary too.


American Cream Soda - is that the clear stuff in light blue cans? Sort of fizzy creamola foam taste? Top stuff from my yoof.

Hangover cure.....Full scottish breakfast washed down with a BOTTLE of Irn Bru (cans are for wimps) :wink:

Robertsons cola was my favorite when I was younger......
