Would it fit curvy? I am thinking about the spare one... But not this month... :(

You would need the complete wiring loom & ECU at least to get the engine to turn over. Other than that i was thinking about it a while back.

Hi havent really advertised the engine, l`m just trying to get some money back on what l paid out for the bike. If your interested drop me a mail or give me a bell, I have all the parts available for this bike.
Just out of interest...whats a curvy, is it the early model?
Sorry to ask but my passion are Blades so not used to the terminology.
Cheers

Only if you want to use the fuel injection. I can't recall exactly what's involved, but I think you need the magneto and some associated bits from a carbed one, and different inlet rubbers (so the carbs will fit). Also, the oil cooler would likely foul most exhaust systems, but the Micron system for an injected model can be made to fit for sure, with some bending.
Not a simple job anyway.

To fit a curvy you'll need the following off your curvy motor:-
Generator and rotor (different size)
Gear-position indicator (Reads every gear for injection)
inlet rubbers (different size and angle)
Thermostat housing (temp sender is different)
Think thats all, you'll also need to blank off and remove the clean-air spouts on top of the cam covers to clear the fuel tank

I think it is just too much for me. At the and of the day I like carbs...

Thats to keep carbs btw
A K5 engine would not run very well if at all on carbs due to the radical valve timing to take advantage of the fuel injection if you really wanted to bin the fuel injection then you would have to change at the very least the exhaust cam.

Well they make more Hp than a std carby
So does a carby with injected cams fitted
They have more lift

This is utter, total crap. You can run injection spec cams in a carbed motor without the slightest bit of concern. You can in fact run carbed model intake cams as exhaust cams without the slightest bit of concern. This is what is in my motor today, and you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. Radical valve timing
The K3s on run a very high degree of overlap which doesnt work well for carbs Suzuki made the claim themselves in the sales broucher I was simply qouting from it.
would this engine be ok in a k3?
also what guarantee do we have that it is good?> i.,e. not running rough etc...
thanks

What is the history of the motor? Was the original bike dropped?

we have done a fair few injected engine into carbed bike conversions for racers and the engine works very well indeed. . You do though have to use all the parts off the carbed engine as RobW says.
gents i know this engine is now sold. just incase you were still interested.
currently being fitted to a k3.
