I do like a bit of floyd, but they do have such a wide range
If you listen to their early work, it's very different to what follows, and indeed their more recent work is different again. I suppose the same can be said of a lot of groups, they evolve over time, sometimes quite dramatically
My personal favourite is Wish You Were Here

"Dark Side of the Moon" for me, runner ups "The Wall" and "The Final Cut" (some spine tingling moments in there...).

Best Album - A Momentary Lapse Of Reason
Best track from it - On The Turning Away
Gilmour's haunting guitar at his best

I like Division Bell, personally. I'm not a big fan of Dark Side.

I saw the Floyd once, nearly. I'd just left school and went to the first Knebworth festival with some mates. They were doing Wish you Were Here. I got so smashed I slept through most of it.

Never seen the band, but I saw Roger Waters at Glastonbury '02 and was blown away. He played mostly Pink Floyd stuff too, amazing night, only topped that weekend by Faithless and The Charlatans.
Best gig I've ever been to though - Nine Inch Nails at the Manchester Apollo 8)

Saw The Floyd four times, always good, favourite album is probably DSOM, but It's tight, they're all enjoyable.
DSOM the first album I ever bought, I'm also partial to the Division bell .

Saw Floyd backl in the midseventies and they were still the best thing at the live8 gig. My fav is the secnd disk on Echoes which has the majority of my favourites on.
