Yeah, but that's like having a 996, better than the 916 no doubt, but just not quiet there, or a second addition book, the original is always better

Cheers Mark.

12-04-06, 03:07 PM
Either will do.....

Its liie choosing a 998 over a 916. THey both look the same really..

What WAS all the big whoo har over the new oval piston in the NR though. two rods per piston, 32v....

How could they warrent £37k???

Peter Henry
12-04-06, 03:09 PM
Daimo...The NR750 was just a stubborn and indulgent attempt by Honda to produce a magnificent machine. To my mind they succeeded but unfortunately at a price so few could afford to enjoy it.

Blagged a invite to the product launch, must have been 88/89, 8 brand spanking new 851's in a line, the impact was truely awesome (I think they even got a couple to start  )

Carry on.

Cheers Mark.

The first Duke i saw in the flesh, an 851 Tricolor. Then the guy started it up.

Those special edition R1's are rather lovely too. I'd say it's the first Jap asthetic design effort to rival the 916 in the jaw-dropability stakes.
