If my all-time heroes are Emily Pankhurst, Joan of Arc and Florence Nightingale, does that make me a heroine addict?

Emmeline Pankhurst was the founder of the Women’s Franchise League in 1889

Otherwise known as the 'sufferagettes'.

It was not Pankhurst who threw herself under the horse, although I believe she chained herself to railings and stuff.

I know a few women who like to be chained up, but the word "suffragettes" doesn't come to mind....
