Going over there this Friday as header states.
Staying in a place called Salinas.
Anyone know it and any tips???
Hoping to hire a bike and gear for a day....suggestions please.

Where abouts in Cali is Salinas. Ahhh feck it, i'll go check google earth and come back to ya :lol:

Not been myself, so no idea.
Might be worth asking on www.svrider.com , I'm sure there'll be a few guys on there who'll know the area.

Salinas is near Monterey isnt it? If so ride/drive some of Highway1 along the coast south of monterey. Visit the shoreline at Monterey and be amazed at the sea otters opening shells on their bellies lying in the water, and visit Pebble Beach (lovely coast drive).
You'll love it.
