I think we can all say that Steve is a great moderator and has organised many runs and get togethers since this forum began. All those that were 'Irish SVers' on the original UK site were brought together as I remember by Steve and Dar. Those were the early days and now here we are with a lot more members and a new common site.

I for one can say that I have 'probably' exceeded the speed limit on the national highways - I think we all do it. The police/courts are after the easy targets and the fine goes to show what they are after.

I believe we are here as fellow motorcyclists that own or have owned SV's. If we are caught on the wrong side of the law should we as fellow members start reporting on others mishaps on this site. Steve was big enough to come forward and say what had happened.

Steve you know that the majority of the members support you 100%. Sorry to hear the news about the ban/fine. Hope to see you soon.

Michael.

A rough time there Steve. Never met you Sir, but forum abuse over and above your side of events is just too much.

Chin up Steve dont let the barstewards get you down.

As I have said in the past.....when you rode with us you rode sensibly, took no stupid chances and didnt flaunt the speed limit any more than the rest of us.

You are either getting a lifetime of bad luck in a short period of time or some organisation have it in for you.....Tony.

Michael, I'm not disagreeing with you just pointing out that on both this occassion and the last occassion that belfast fell foul of the law it was he who brought it to the forum and layed his cards on the table.......for which he should be commended not condemmed. Yet on the first occassion he got slated by members on here who had never riden with him and on this occassion he got slated again.

I have also ridden with Steve (1st Scottish run) and agree with all the positive things that have been written. My opinion being I dont think we should start slating each other especially on speeding and other traffic related offences. I think it could happen to most of us if we were unlucky. Steve is a top bloke hope he still checks out the site from time to time.

Hey Steve,

Real sorry to hear about the van and fine. Been biking with you on several occasions and know that your a rider who is sensible and aware. We've all been past the legal limit at some stage but you were unlucky to be spotted doing it.

Anyways, don't be a stranger - there's always space for a chap like yerself on this forum - especially in the TotalSV Ireland section!!

Take it easy mate...

Think this sums it up.

Could have happened to any of us. It will be a shame for the site to loose Steve.
