With Spiderman nowhere to be seen, dozens of New Yorkers were forced to spend the night dangling hundreds of feet in the air after a power failure on a cable car system that takes commuters to an island in the East River.

Talk about ungreatful  You never see the stories that start "Thank goodness Spiderman showed up when he did" do ya?

I'm telling ya, my relationship with the press is getting very strained.

I just dont like new yorkers, with their "ooh we're from new york you know".

Ohh. Cruisen for a bruisin their Spidey.

I rolled up in my power rangers costume, stuck a couple of fetching poses, hand on me brow, one foot up standing on something a foot higher than the other. Press were all over me. Anyway, I was using my power ranger powers to check the wire.

And the wire was grand.

So, I went about my power ranger business, albiet with a hot black chick with a big ass on the back of the bike.
Go go power rangers wha?

Funny thing that most people dont know is that Metropolis is a MADE UP PLACE
I know, its shocking isnt it. But supes does live in nyc.

Phillymac, i meant i didnt like the native new torkers, the foreigners who are trapped there like your good self are a diffrent story.

I had a kool client from ny a few years ago. He was a musician who was also jewish. He fled to london from nyc to get away from all the "annoying, Israel loving yanks" as he just couldnt stand them any longer. His words not mine.

Ok. I will tell you a funny, well, very sad story about Israel loving yanks.
So, a mate of mine, "R" Cool guy. Anyway, it turned out that his Grandmother was the Danish Oscar Schindler. As in the real thing. As in, rescued Jews, and got them into Danmark, saved their lives.

Anyway, it was some aniversary of this event recently.. And, she was asked over to talk to the hospital. (I think the hospital was dedicated to her.) She was old, and didnt want to go, so she sent R. She was asked to talk about... "The worldwide rise in anti-semitism and why she saved the Jews."

She was extremely upset and angry. I think this is the real reason why she didnt go.

She furiously explained that she did not save Jews from the camps, she saved PEOPLE.
That was her motivation. She did not check that they were Jews. She did not care if they were blacks, homosexuals, mentally handicapped, Jews or Gypsies. And, whats more, she did not see, to any great extent a rise in Anti-semitism. And she didnt like being told that she had to talk about this.

And, (this was the moment I realised how cool this woman was) she had considered Danmark, and herself to be a friend of Israel.
And, good friends tell eachother when they are making big mistakes, and behaving horribley.

So there was R, sitting in front of a group of extremely weathly Jewish benifactors, fully expecting a tearful memorial about how nearly the old days, and instead they got a differant message altogether. There were mouths hanging open. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned? Try an old, tough Danish woman.

R left the Hospital, and the country, quickly after he made this speech.

What a great lady!!! With the right attitude too. God bless her and send her a kiss from me if you still know R.

I do. I stayed with him and his gf when I was in copenhagen there. I didnt meet her though unfortunately, she was old and tired then. Not in the mood for silly Irish people drinking her coffee
