Right im off to france on the 11th of may :D wooo hooo a dream come true... however... the bike needs a service.... but how far shall i go??

Of course it will get the usual, but im now thinking that if im going to france and its the last time ill be able to do this in a few yrs, i should make the bike the best i can to avoid "dissapoitment" on decent roads, through poor brakes and diving forks....

so should i go the whole hog and do...

Braided hoses.. (origonals are 5 yrs old and a lot spongy)
Fork Springs..... & oil....
Mini Screen
Bar ends...Steel - to stop vibration...

in addtiion to oil, filters etc....?/

total cost.. bout £200..

Im battling with "its 200£ i could do with not spending" and the " what if im in france kicking myself because i was too tight!!"
please vote as u see fit...

A service does not include springs, oil screens etc.

Oil, filter, plugs, air filter, check pads/brakes (Bleed by the sound of it) general check or chain and other components, job done.

Do what needs doing, if the forks are diving like crazy, change the oil and check the airgap, this costs about £7 and will make a big difference if it's not been done in a couple of years, if that's not enough you can look at new springs etc. Don't do things for the sake of it.

forks were overhauled bout 1 months ago.. but finances didnt allow new springs at the time... they are now anoyingly divey despite heavier oil,
