I've got a road legal CCC oval, which replaced a Scorpion straight-through 'cos it was a bit too loud for me in middle-age   & also because I didn't want to get pulled by :plod:.

But the CCC's a bit too quiet. Is it practical to cut the baffle tube length or drill a few holes?

Just file the end of the baffle - therefore increase the hole/airflow/noise

gary-can the baffle not b taken out alltogether?my ccc just had the 4mm rivet on the underside of the baffle drilled out (by me )=one ccc that sounds great +bs marks on can itself (not the baffle) and i can just put the baffle back in if i need to

Jim...Your taking me back to my spotty teenage days on my 250 Kawasaki! Cut the baffle mate! Maybe do it gradually though, cut off a couple of inches first and try that. Remembering you can always cut more off,but a bit more tricky to put some back on if you find that once again it's too loud.

Or of course yeah...take the little bleeder out completely!

Remove the baffle chop it in half drill some bigger holes in it!!! If stopped by the plod they will be no wiser unless they do a decibell test (highly unlikely) Done it to my scorpion can!!!!!!

Yeah Jim, of course.............but that'll probably make it as noisy as the Scorpion was, which is what the post started with :!: :!: :-dd

It depends on the can, some CCC road legals aren't baffled race acns, they're chambered cans like stock. Not as simple as messing with the baffle in that case. Can't recall what yours is like though. Mine was like that, but I don't think they still do them.
