Right folks here we go.............
.....I've played around with cheapo headsets and PTT switches with no real joy. The question now is this-
Have any of you owned BOTH Autocom & Starcom1 systems that can make valid comparisons? Anyone that has owned a single system and is happy with it is obviously going to recommend it. I've listened to both demos (and Intarides) and they both sound good. Did you find one better than the other? The new Starcom1 Advance unit is tiny which is an obvious advantage. I wouldn't need radios since I have two sets of PMR446 units both with rechargable batteries. One set is Motorola, the other BT Freeways.
Incidentaly, the Intaride system has a rather appealing connector - the old fashioned multi-contact jack plug, so there's no fidling around trying to line up plug & socket.
Cheers,
Garry :?
