OK - been thinking of changing my indis for a while now.

After much advice on the forum I went for the LED arrow ones from Heine gericke- mainly cos u can buy just one if you need to replace..
then the Motrax spacers/infils......

I am very pleased with the results....

But must say ,,,, a BIG BIG thank you to a certain Mr Peter Henry for a 45 minute spain to stoke MSN instructing me on how to solder !! and how to fix em on.. I am a good DIY guy but I do not touch electrics or solder.. so pete guided me through it step by step - for which I am very gratefull...... I will fill the tank of his C90 on the north meets south .!! see he aint too bad a guy !..

Anyway - didnt take too long and I am chuffed.. and like every other mod when the wife asks the costs I will say £20...

How did you sort the flashing rate? Resistors or change the relay unit?

they flash fast !!!!!

I like them.... Ithink they are noticeable.!!
BUT

wont pass MOT like that will they so will have to go back and egt the resistors from HG....

yer man in shop said they may or may not flash too fast.! soI needed fit them first and see if they did...... seems strange as I cudda fitted a resistor wehn i was doin the job

SO- AM I RIGHT?.. YOU CAN THAVE THEM FLASHING THAT FAST?

Shorter ones might have been better on the front in my opinion. I used the HG resistors to sort out the flash rate

I'd rather change relay unit, easier and costs a bit less than those resistor packs.

resistors from Hg are £1.99 each..

how much is the unit>>

RE: shorter stems at front- I thought about that but decided that I wanted the indicator to protrude out as far as the furthest bit of fairing.....so they sem more evident as indicators.... I dismissed the flush mounted ones for this very reason ..

NB_ got my new coloured bulbs today oin the post so can put the clear lens on now too..!!

Quiff, (me again with those loverleee questions)!

I went to change fron indicators with some HG ones, not the same as yours but similar. I took fairing off and original indicator but after seeing big hole it left, there didn't seem any decent way of bolting new ones one, with large washers or some sort...

How did you manage with yours? Did you use part of old indicator mounting at back??? :-k

Promise I'm not trying to copy your bike!!!

lol---

no mate the spacers.. motrax spacers.. !!!! on the front ones

back ones the spacer there is fine - just need to use original washer at the back with the nut.... ! oh and of course the sprung washer thingy that locks tight !.. (technical aint I ?)

Pm me mate if that aint too clear

£4.99 from gericke the spacers are..

wait there i go root in the bin..

back - I lie- they are from HG but are Oxford ones -
oxford spacers suzuki OF 866

18002108
79014079522 are the codes on them..
they fit perfect onthe front- one in the gap and one behind so the nut can tighten up to it..

like I say PM me if u still??? but I aint no ace mechanic / bike fixer/font of all knowledge !!.....didnt know what I was doin til PH helped me out !

Quiff Wichard

Mine are the bigger versions of these ones mate, but they flash at about the same speed.
They also passed the MOT with no problem at all but best to ask before you go for the actual test just in case you find you have a fussy tester.
The rule is between 90 and 110 flashes per min i believe.

Fast flash catches the eye more imho.

I changed my rear indicators and they flashed too fast. I'm too tight to buy resistors so I soldered the old mini indicators to the wiring under the seat. All sorted.

I do quite fancy the simple plug in wotsit that will get them at the right speed..

I just put them on !!.. well not just but earlier....!!

and they go slower-(not much)........................but seem dimmer- is that right.???

I like the look of them but I would worry if people could actually see them.. they are by the looks of things quite a bit smaller then the original ones?
