View Full Version : Englands Injury Worries
Rooney - broken metatarsal - 6 weeks to go and it looks like we'll not see him in the finals. Owen played today and has complained of pain still, Campbell looks nowhere near fit enough, ashley cole is yet to come back, Terry picked up a knock against Man Utd
Without the front two, our chances are halved if not greater. Sven needs to look at alternatives to attempt to fill the gap. No one can fill their boots but I think its worth looking at Bent and Ashton now that Rooney looks a major doubt. Crouch isnt the answer.
Get Rooney in a hyperbaric chamber and he'll be alright.
It's a serious hardship but I'll do it. I'm a quick learner. If they start training now we should be ok...
I get the same wage right?
I know there's alot of money on this (despite the amount of people dying in the world)... and I really enjoy the world cup.... and the nation's morale hangs on a world cup win... but.... REALLY.... :?
But then again if I won the lottery, the world's ails would probably be the last things on my mind....(just being honest)...

What is it with these metatarsels (or whatever they're called)? Before Beckham did his I never even knew I had a metatarsel, and I don't recall footballers breaking them. Now it seems that every tournament players are breaking them left, right and centre.
Seriously depressing news for fans of the national team. I was even thinking we had a shout at winning it before this.
get deano in the squad he is the answer

I think that's because before then we just used to say "he's got a broken toe"
Roony could be fit, but you don't want a repeat of the Beckham fiasco, playing him when he wasn't ready......
Sol Campbell needs a couple of matches, hopefully he'll look better tomorrow. Cole is a worry because he is a threat going forward and we don't seem to have that right now.
We could always bring back Heskey  [-X [-o<

Crouch isnt the answer.
You aren't wrong there
I think James Beattie is worthy of a shout - I think he plays a very Shearer-esque roll for Everton (he's just coming back into form too...)
If Shearer wasn't in injured I'd be pleading with him to come out of retirement...
What about Teddy Sheringham, at 40 he's still doing it for West Ham :!:
