First the bad news, was rung on my mobile today (Saturday, been on a works course in Lincs since Wednesday) to tell me my SV has been written off by insurance co as the cost of repairs is to much. f**cked up front end,new fairing required, chassis twisted, other damage which is "uneconimcable to repair) :( :( :( . the good news is Tomorrow, Sunday i put down a deposit on an 05 unregistered R6.(EBIKE'S offered me £3,500 for my SV).Hopefully will be picking up the new bike on Thursday/Friday. subject to confirmation of the SV being totalled by then. The R6 is in The black Gauloises scheme and is a beast of a bike (test ridden already) . Hope I'm still allowed on the Welsh run on the new ride. (a mate of mine on an Z750 also hopes to join us) pics of the new bike to follow in due course (may be a while as on works lap top at mo so unable to upload pics from here as forbidden)

Whilst I sympathise that your bike hase been written off. You are the first that I know of that has had a claim with eBike.

From the sound of things, they have been a good company to deal with and you are happy with the result.

Enjoy the R6 you lucky begger

i gorra be honest i can't fault the service I've received from EBike (the courtesy bike could have been a bit better but there you go beggars can't be choosers) and I certainly wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

VB. i think your ok at the going fast thing at the mo ( or at least until i get used to the bike)

Well, my bikes buggered at the moment anyway... cant get it to reliably go past 10K rpm... which is a right pain in the ass.. produces about as much power as say an SV650 at that point... I want to get to 13.5K... 116 horses to play with then

In total support of vee twins that are not 72 degrees (Hardly Worthit or something) there does seem to be a spot 'o' bother recently with the IL4s in this forum, Valley Boy with some misfiire somewhere on the second (or third) lap of the tacho :( and a spot of clutch fever from stretch. :( Hopefully all will be sorted easilly with both. :D

Good luck with the next one, hope the IL4 virus doesn't mutate to the V2 or IL3

VB If I were you I would seriously think about getting your fuelling checked out mate. It sounds to me as if you may have a dodgy injector.

Anna was only joking about the ducati
Fizz will deffo post a review once I've clocked up a few miles.
