I did this yesterday in Dorking. Apart from the rain in the morning it was good to learn something new. An hour slide show in the morning followed by the rest of the day riding around the countryside with an IAM observer.
My initial thought when booking was all about reducing the insurance followed by the road safety aspect.
Although you can get the obeservers to work on any weaknesses you have the main thing I learnt was that my positioning on the road was rubbish - largely fixed now. I was suprised they didnt teach us this on our DAS course :? .
Something new also was vanishing points and what it means in a corner. (I was the only one in the class that wasnt in the know  )
One thing that was suggested to all of us was more advanced rider trainging. Some of the options suggested were IAM or ROSPA as well as a track day with an organisation like Hopp Rider Training. Has anyone done any of this these? Rate them? IAM vs ROSPA?
