Bought MCN the other day and in it came a mag with an MandP.com catalogue, i was looking through and found a nice looking Puig Bellypan for the sv650 k3-k6. Looking at the shocking little picture thats in the catalogue they mount it on the engine cover bolts :? But its hard to see if it is or not, So i was wondering if anyone has bought a Puig bellypan or if anyone knows where it is mounted as i dont fancy loosening bolts on the engine covers!
Any help great!

My belly pan is held on by a bracket on each side of the engine, and an adaptor/bracket that fits behind the oil radiator. You do have to undo the bolts on each side of the engine - simply undo them, fit the brackets and tighten them to the required torque setting.
On the SV1000 this is 11 N.m or 8.0 ft-lb for M6 bolts, I suggest you check with the service manuals that the setting is the same for the 650
see 650Manuals (http://www.sv650.org/sv_manuals.htm)
Takes about 10 mins to fit :D
Incidently you can get hold of the genuine Suzuki belly pan for a lot less than the website suggests
PS - welcome to the site :riding:

K5-K6 - Probably
Speak nicely to your friendly local dealer, if they order the belly pan & fittings separately from the parts fiche, it comes in a lot cheaper than the list price
