Thats at Silverstone, 2003...
Slowest car of the day award goes to........?
The Intergra Type R and Focus ST170 didn't think so
Looks like a typical saturday afternoon on purley way.
Hmmm hurry up and crash it, and put that ugly car out of its misery!
surely shoei or arai offer a Burberry helmet for you.....?
:(
Do not confuse me with a chav dammit!!!!!
That was my first bash hat, i have got an Arai now thanks :P
And also, can't say I know any boyracers/chavs that take their cars to Silverstone and do track days. They simply use the roads....
Thanks Billy, nice comment, hope you crash your bike smash it to bits and also be your fault??????? (not nice, but then neither was yours). Thanks, but its 6 years work. You don't need to drive it so a big fat F U.... 8)
Other pictures on my website.
Looks fun. Motor's in pretty good nick :D

Corsas - Moving grannies about since 1993....
Lovely circuit to drive. Done the full GP course. Hanger straight is much shorter than it looks on camera.... Was only just getting it into 5th... (about 115...)
Methinks you need to calm down a bit matey... peeps are only taking the pith
Nice pics by the way...
I've seen your car in the ASDA car park before...
Calm Down, your telling me to calm down *shakes fist at Screen*
Right you, outside, now, boxing gloves at the ready.... ha ha
Nahh, that above comment was a bit out of order, you don't tell someone you hope then smash up their pride and joy do you, its just not on.
ASda?????? Errrrr, only time its been near an Asda is when we used to ride our mini motos in gravesend.. Was it there? (or are you being a git and joking about boyracers and carparks, in which case, BOXING GLOVES, PUNK, YOU, ME AND THE INFLATABLE HEADGUARDS, OUTSIDE, NOW

I'm really sorry I caused offense... but all I see is a car that's had a set of alloys fitted, a new 'chav' bonnet (to replace a previously smashed one), and is missing a headlight... a very sorry looking car (whether it be for the track or not).
Anyway, I thought this was a motorbike forum?

That i can take with no issues, its an opinion, but your comment about you hope i smash it up was WELL below the belt IMO..... You just do not do that, thats just plain nasty and cutnish!!!
PS, bonnet was never smashed, its the original modified to my own design for me.
Headlight has been removed to aid airflow to the engine while ragging the nuts off it while out on track.
Sorry looking? look down the side and that reflection, wouldn't call that sorry looking,i'd say it was spotless, but then i get to see the car... but each to their own.....
This is a bike forum, the post title warns non car people to stay away, pretty obvious?
I'm sorry... your car spoke to me, and that's what it said. Perhaps also an opinion - it wasn't personal, but you have taken it as such.
Your retort to me, hoping that I smash up my bike (in effect hoping I hurt myself - very likely in a bike accident) was meant personally - but I have not taken it as such.

Those were the days!
billy, i said about the bike, nothing about the rider..... Your just trying making an argument now and be picky. MY reply was in direct response to yours.
Saying its a chav chariot, it looks silly, it looks stupid blah blah i can all take, not once in 6 years has anyone put anything like that i hope you smash it. In fact, i dont' think i've ever read it on any car website i've ever been on. Sickening....
Falc - 100mph, then i can put it in 5th 8) Its a 2.0 16v.
Headlight has been removed to aid airflow to the engine while ragging the nuts off it while out on track.
Ah well then Daimo, then you dont seem to know that much about tuning  . What you need is dense cool air, and that comes from nearer the ground. Popping out a headlight causes drag, so the extra 1/2hp from the engine, is out weighed by the drag from removing the light. Also if you wanted better cooling, then you shouldnt have 'bad boyed' the bonnet. At the end of the day, its a chav chariot and nothing more. Ok, so youve had a paint job, chromed the engine, whacket a set of nasty(imho) chrome rims on, and a 286mm brake conversion.
Ive done a track day at silverstone, and brands in my old XR2. If it was still around today, all you would have been seeing was my tailgate  :P

Holy cow, 1.6l 96 bhp, the mean kind! Wouldn't mind one of those nowadays... my uncle had one, I loved the car... unfortunately I was about 14 at the time, so never got around to drive it ;)

actually your correct. When I doen the bodywork i still had the 1.4 16v. Once the 2.0 went in the cooling went skywards and it ran hot. Some hoses etc helped, but it ran too hot for my liking. That airflow was to generally keep the engine bay temperature down, and also, the air filter is directly behined the headlight so a constent stream of cold air...
Paint job is standard, special edition  288mm brake conversion, and a rear disk setup, braided lines all round. Rims are not chrome. They are normal with a laived polished lip.
Its had a little bit more than your spec sheet suggests.... 2 pages worth, its a subtle car, not a "look at me look at me" big kit big wheels jobbie.... People are on 20"s on corsas, im on 16"s... :D

How about going back to a more subtle bonnet, and like Viney said, get your fresh air from down low? It's just my opinion, but that bonnet "frowns" a bit too much for the Corsa's height... :?

Actually apart from the bonnet which IMHO I dont like. It OK I quite like it. Its quite subtle I think and not spouting fibreglass and fake carbon bits from everywhere.
But then I do ride a toothpaste tube so what do I know

Philipe - Nahh man, told you, i can take a slating, its just the comment was well out of line on pg1..
I've already sold that bonnet about 2 years ago due to those issues. Also, the bonnet was sooooooooooo heavy, and the welds kept cracking down the whole bonnet line.
I now have a standard bonnet, washer just have been removed (Comes out through the wiper), and its "bad boyd" over the lights (Doesn't effect them).
Its just been sitting in the garage since the car was put away.
In fact, its this one.....

He smashed the car up and i bought that bonnet off him...

Hmmm my shovit experience.
My house is on a hill and drive is quite steep. As the shovit propshaft had developed a knocking UJ I decided to change it. Ihad to release the handbrake in order to slacken the cables to get the propshaft off/on. Whilst it was up on the axle stands I thought I might as well check the gearbox oil and as luck would have it, it required a top up.
Having established I had no oil in the garage I had to walk upto the local service station, so I locked up house/garage/car and walked to 300yd round trip to come back with a bottle of oil. I topped up the gearbox, fitted filler bolt, trolley jack at the back and removed axle stands, round to front and removed the front stands. As the trolley jack lowered the car then set off down the drive. like I said my drive is quite steep, and I had released the handbrake to clear the propshaft. Doh the car door is still locked and the keys are in the house. By this time I am behind the car trying to stop it rolling. No chance I dive out the way as it knocks down my gatepost, goes accross the road and through the hedge of the neighbour accross the road.
Remember I said I am on a hill. The car has now ground itself on the collapsed hedge about 10 ft above the nieghbours car. I knock on his door and explain that I have had a slight accident and he had better move his car incase the hedge collapses. He looks at me funny, comes out of his house, goes white, grabs his keys and gets his car out of the way. Well with him sat on my bonnet to counter balance me sat in the car, starts the engine, and drives out. The hedge sprung back and no damage. The only damage to my car being the offside rear light needed tightening up as there was now a bad earth. No panel damage anywhere.
Pheew. Another reason why I hated that damm car.

Because every time someone posts a picture or something about a car people love to jump in say cars a **** like they don't also drive them. Also its boring people going around calling people who drive corsa's chavs, not like we don't know plenty of ****s on motorcycles.
Daimo, nice car and from the sounds of it you did good considering an Integra Type-R is 220bhp and is supposedly *the* best handling front wheel drive car. Ever.
You know that kinda reminds me, I love how people on this site go on about being the underdog on an SV and love ripping up GSXR's and the such like and yet all Daimo is doing is the same thing in his Corsa versus cars that are supposedly far more capable. Motorcyclists are such hypocrites and its getting very boring. :?

And Billy I am very surprised at you of all people for being so closed minded. Again going back to the amount that people have 'modified' their SV's with such things as tacky fake carbon fiber, etc etc. READ: ITS THE SAME DAMN THING AS CHAVS PUTTING LED'S IN THEIR HEADLIGHT WASHERS. Why are bikers so god damn hypocritical? I just don't get it, I've seen some equally sorry looking SV's here as well.
And he only wished upon you the same as you wished upon him, people do die in cars as well you know? Billy I am honestly really really surprised at your replies in this thread, such comments as "isn't this meant to be a bike forum" well no, this is meant to be an *SV* forum and yet we don't slate people for posting up their pics of GSXR's/R6's/blah blah blah.
Jesus guys, get over yourselves. Stop being such jumped up, **** licking, hypocritcal bikers.
if people like modifying cars then that is sod all to do with anyone else. i think the car looks pretty good, and he's obviously an enthusiast which is a world apart from connor and his burberry capped pals putting on imitation "big boy" pipes out the back of 1.1 saxo.
Jesus guys, get over yourselves. Stop being such jumped up, @rse licking, hypocritcal bikers
I could not agree more. The guy is posting pics of his pride and joy, no need to slate him or his car considering the hard work he has put in I think he deserves a little credit even if it ain't your cup of tea.

i'll put in my two peneth worth as welll then. I'm not a big fan of cars never have been really but i can appreciate a decent car be it standard or in this case modified, the only thing that i didn't lklike about those pictures was the bonnet but thats gone now and probably looks a lot better foir it. It is by no means a chab car (well yeah i know it's a corsa  ) and it's be modded subtley which is the main thing, cant stand cars with all thise stickers on the door or wing or where ever for Toyo tyres etc.
Done a nice job there mate even though it's not my cup of tea.

But thats riduculous, does that mean I have to cover up my number plate when driving anywhere, or hide my car when its parked. The only people that would want to do that are hardly gonna visit this website to clone a Ranger. :? :? :?
In order to correctly clone a vehicle you need its VIN Plate and all the particulars about it.

Not clone a vehicle just the reg, i.e. anyone else with that vehicle could copy the plate and get a load speeding tickets by bombing past cameras and they would all turn up at that guys house. It it a bit of paranoia but it can happen so most people won't risk it as it takes second to cover up a reg plate on a photo.

I see, I thought you were refering to cloning vehicles to sell.
Still theres nothing stopping people looking for a similar coloured shaped car and copying the reg. Didn't think posting a picture on the net made the slightest bit of difference.
So what was your Reg again?

Aye people can still clone it from seeing you in the street and there ain't much you can do about that. But say someone has a half inched Blue Nekked SV650 which they would like to look legit of the police arn the plate and I had posted my reg here they could find a plate without even having to leave the house (what with the org being the first result on Google if you look for SV650). Not a huge risk but avoidable.

ha ha exactly. If someone used my plate, they would ahve to be pretty dumb really....
I can assure you theres no other Corsa in the UK or Europe that has the same rear end as my one (similar, but not the same).. So if someone used theplate and it was caught on video, well, lets just say I ahve plenty of images on how it looks, and it won't be the same as the dumb ass using it for a petrol run on 1.2 fiesta...

trust me when i say i'm not worried about cloning. in order to set off speed cameras you'd need to get a bit of speed up? well, it would cost them more in diesel than it would be worth!
