Now I like Eubank, I think he's funny. I think he means well and people take him the wrong way. In his words he's a showman not a show off.
But can't make up my mind about this.

I (personally) think he's right. Good for him.
*waits to get flamed*
I think he's alright on this one. It's boxing FFS. What do people expect? Cups of tea and cucumber sandwiches?
"There is an agreement I give Michael 50% of the proceeds and we are fully in agreement the fight should be shown."
Nowt wrong with that if both fighters have agreed....
It's got the backing of the one person who matters. Michael Watson. Surely, that's end of debate........isn't it?
cant see where a problem could be? no debate here. nobody is forcing anybody to watch it, it costs money to watch it, the proceeds go in part to the injured boxer.
end of
'twas a cracking fight 8)

I think he's got bad press and a lot of people have been slating him on the radio because the fact he's bankrupt.
I totally agree there's mutual consent, but you have to wonder if he would of done this if he wasn't skint.

not given consent? again, no problem.

My dog Terry doesn't like Eubank. Terry once attacked him because
Eubank was riding a stupid scooter-like vehicle (one of those with
the tiniest possible engine) on the Brighton promenade.

They have both consented... and so what if he's skint, if you don't like it don't pay to watch it. Does it matter that he's trying to make some cash out of it, after all we all need to make some money some how. Its either that or watch him in panto.
Yep - Chris gets my vote. As stated, the proceeds will be split 50/50. It's gotta be better than some other monkey selling the same or similar footage and pocketing the spondoolies themselves!!

He was a very skilled boxer and a true showman (his showmanship was Ali class even if his boxing wasn't). So what if he's out of cash, it's probably all been "pilfered" by management agencies anyway....
If they are both happy with then what's the problem ??

There is a lot i dont like about Eubank(s),
Like the fact he changed his name legaly to drop the s at the end cos he's got a lithp.
That aside, it really was a pair of class fighters giving their all and i dont see any reason why anyone would think this is not right.

That's utter class, IMO :)

If you had video of that, I'm sure Mr Eubank would go 50-50 with you to publish, got to get Terry to agree though.

I don't like him but he has the other chap's consent and as already said, it's boxing -- what's the big deal?
No big deal! He was getting a grilling on the radio.
I didn't see the problem, just wanted to know what everyone here thought. :)

Yes, Terry is the dog of death. :reaper: Having a go at Chris Eubank is the
least of offences Terry has committed.

What can you say. Boxing is a dangerous sport. It involves hitting people in the head, as hard as you can.
If you step into the ring, you must be aware of this.
Both fighters on the night stepped into the ring, both knew what can happen, both knew what they had to gain. The played the game. Both could have died in the ring that night.
Everything else just has to come down to paperwork. That's why they have managers etc to deal with this.
Eubank has decided to give away half of the cash from this fight to the charity. Alright. It seems his managers have sorted it so he has this right.
He could have given away it all. Or none. Its entirely his choice. He chose half. We, in fairness, cannot really pass judgement on the man.
Do you turn around to SKY and ask them for the money back too?
Do you demand money off Murray Walker for Senna dieing?
If you want to watch the sport, then you are buying into all that this entails. If you dont, you dont.

That is one EVIL looking dog! I like dogs, had 2 Boxers, but I'd be scarred of Terry.
By the way,I think Chrif Eubankf is a showman, not a big fan,but disagreed with the grief he got on Radio2 yesterday. Boxing is/has been dangerous, people get hurt,in the same way motorcycling is/can be dangerous, people can get hurt!
