Hi Gang,
Anyone on here able to trace a number for me?
Nothing dodgy, just want to find if I can buy back my old man's reg from his first BSA C12.
Its MBK167
Thanks in advance
Leigh
I think there's some sort of service on DVLA's website about cherished numbers and the finding thereof.
It might be a place to start.

You can get a form from the post office, with a small fee to the DVLA you can then get the current owners details.
It would be illegal to search via PNC so hope this helps.

On the RAC website there is a vehicle data search (under car buying). You put the registration number in and it gives you the vehicle details.
The only problem is that it doesn't help you in this case as your plate isn't recognised. :(
No use this time but might be of use to someone in the future.
Cheers

yeah in theory but are you not sure that car just cut you up doing a possible illegal move :P
leigh, you could try posting on the BSA owners club forum (there's bound to be one out there somewhere.........)
i tried the same on the healey owners club for a car owned by my old man. didn't turn anything up for me but you never know - it might be lurking in someone's shed at the bottom of the garden.

If you just want the plate for your own vehicle I think that is fairly easy to do (as long as the plate isn't alreeady in use).
It's funny, I can remember a number of plates from some of my early cars off of the back of my hand, but always have to check for the 'Blades number

That's age creeping up on you.I can remember numbers from years ago,but I can't remember my current reg numbers at all.Same with phone numbers.I have to keep my mobile number in my own phones memory so I can look it up myself.
Same number Ive had for years.

Typed in the wife's reg & her silver Golf which she sold in November 2003 came up!!!!!!!!
Obviously not very up to date!!
