So I bumped into a new guy at work on the way home. He asks,

"You got a bike?" (I'm wearing my jacket).

"Yes. An SV650."

"Twin isn't it?"

"Yes, lots of torque. Do you have a bike?"

"Oh it is my passion, I have 4 ducatis, 2 MV agustas, 2 buells and a harley."

"....cool!" I stammer.

Feckin' heck! He went on to tell me how he does a lot of track days in Italy (he's italian). He has obviously done well in their life!

 8)

2 buells - One haveing a gearbox rebuild, 1 wont start

I recognise and can sympathise with his terrible addiction. It's called spannerholism - the desperate need to have several bikes in various states of "repair" (aka notworkingness) at any one time. I too suffer from this affliction and tonight wore out my Halfords Professional 3/8" ratchet drive which is sad when you consider that I've never worn out a clutch on my own.

I currently own a 2000 model SV650S with wheels out, no brakes, no tyres; a 2004 DRZ400S with no bodywork and no handlebars; an Aprilia Leonardo 125 scooter with no oil in the engine and a KTM 200EXC which is waiting for a new speedo.

Please give generously.

I had some wheels rebuilt by a guy in Derby a couple of years ago.
In his shed where he worked he had about 9 or 10 bikes.
A real ecclectic mix to, sportsbikes, nakeds, trailies, a harley and an old british bike that looked like it had just been pulled out of the canal.

Top bloke and he make a super job of me wheels too !

No no no, this guy is not the kind to work on bikes. He'll have them all done by mechanics, and stored in an air conditioned garage somewhere.

Thor, two questions

1) What does he do (job wise?)
2) are there anymore jobs going at your place ?

Finance - this guy has obviously done well!

The guy who owns half the company is about as rich as the Queen.

Given that the list includes six Italian bikes and two Buells, the Harley is probably the most reliable of the lot. They're very solidly built to a high standard these days.
