From Advrider.
Guy involved, kdude, escaped relatively ok
"Last year while riding in the Florida Everglades I got hit by a car doing approx. 90 mph. I was puttering along Aligator Alley just touring looking at the gators on the side of the road and then all hell broke loose.
I got off really lucky... after a trip to the hospital by helicoter and a round with the trauma center I walked out in one piece. Lots of road rash and a few staples here and there I did walk out of the hospital five hours later.
I'm posting this so that you guys will keep your eyes wide open especially behind you. It happened so fast I never saw the car coming. The kid that hit me had no insurance and was high as a kite ! He was booked for dangerous driving"

Indeed we also have an advrider who's sadly in a wheelchair from being rear-ended on a 12GS quite recently. He's currently having his home converted out of the genorosity of other riders.
Those flashing and extra brake lights seem all the rage too.
Looks like what my accident did!!! :?

Beemer looks better like that; a sort of "**** in the air" streetfightered scooter.
Glad the chap was okay. Damned cagers.

Is the car eating the bike, or the bike eating the car?

Got rearended on my pushbike too, definitely not a nice sensation. I was just pulling away from a junction, so it was really low speed, all I got was a pringle shaped wheel. Guy's obvious fault, so he coughed up for a new one... and new front one too :-dd :-dd :-dd :-$

Hey,
I do remember that, just outside of Calgary. Both Charley and Ewan got hit in Calgary... Embarrassing. That kid was stupid...
Mitch
woah, thats lucky he got out of that one alive, thats odd that the rear wheel got sucked in and the back end went over the bonnet. Not seen that before, glad the guy is ok though
