Help!
I come back to the UK very soon, and I will be living in Hedge End, I need accommodation for my bike - I need to be able to access it whenever I need to, store it, and some bits and bobs that go with it. I am willing to pay rental.

The best places would be Hedge End, Botley, Fareham, Southampton or Eastleigh.

If you can help, or you know someone with a lockup, large shed or garage - or with bikes that live in this area who may be able to help, please pm me.

thanks....

clanger - when are you coming down & what part are you going to be living in?

I live about a two minute walk from the village - very handy for the indian on a Friday night

No idea re bike storage though - my garage is chocca.

I'll keep my eyes peeled in the small ads for garage rentals.

Welcome back Clanger.

Sorry I can't help on the garage front.

Wrap a chain around it and a ground anchor

I will be living in Hedge End.
And I wont have any ground to stick an anchor into - my Dad lives in a house where the back is inaccessible, and Im damned if I'm gonna leave my precious in the street. He has a steep driveway too. Ive thought of everything and now Im pressing on peeps I know or who may know someone.

Hey Scoobs!
Hey Mattsv - perhaps we should meet up. Do you know places around there that host live bands, preferrably rock, blues, guitar stuff?

Southampton and Portsmouth have a couple of places, not so sure about Fareham/Hedge End/Eastleigh...

Nothing in Hedge End itself (only 3 pubs and they are all ****), however the Joiners in St Marys (Southampton) always used to have a Blues night on a Sunday which was good - try googling 'southampton pub music' and see what comes up - other good music pubs I have been to are The Hobbit, The Brook, Talking Heads.

Some good biking roads round us too - A32 & A272 are both pretty good. A few of us go to Poole on a Tuesday, and Portsdown Hill on a Thursday - just let me know if you fancy coming along.
