I stopped using them years ago, to many bad experiences with them. Though have had some good ones, but the bad was really bad.
I started using PSI and a mate of mine whos a bike mech.

Never had a problem with them myself always been very good price and service wise, but to be honest i'm gonna get the 14,500 mile service done there in a few weeks and then i'm gonna do everything myself, no point in carrying it on cos even the service schedule in the handbook stops at 14,500.

I have noticed the guys on the parts desk never seem to do much work and are a bit arrogant but i've never needed parts so it never really affected me.

bought my bike from willshers, from a sales POV they were pretty good. made me feel like i was getting a good deal, which as a customer its what you want.

had one service (at 15k), it was steep, but it covered many parts - new chain sprockets rear tyre valve clearances rad bolts re-fitted - but on the couple of occassions i've needed parts and/or help they've been a bit aloof.

need a service very soon (20k) and really dunno where to go....

I am going up to Steve Jordan's next week for a 7.5k service and remap - I'll let you know how it goes :D

What has he quoted you for the service out of interest?

Haven't got a quote yet

I don't mind paying a bit extra for good service and piece of mind.

I chose Steve Jordan's for the following reasons:-

1) Good rep
2) They have an ECU tweaking tool so can do the remap without the need for a dyno
3) They can give me a loan bike so I can nip over to Boxhill

I am confident that I will not get spanked!

I got 2 qoutes the other week for my 15k service.
George Whites/Swindon £320
Artdeans/Swindon £150

Certainly pays too look around.

Nice one cuffy, let us know how you get on. The 15K is a biggie though I guess (need to check what needs to be done).

The JRH site states "15,000 mile service (this one includes check & adjustment
of valve clearances)" for £320. An interesting figure that. Other services are £130.00 and £165.00. Wonder if Artdeans have included the valves.
