View Full Version : I PITY THE FOOL
Never mind all that Big Brother BS, did you see the program after???
Bring Back the A-Team...
Where that long haired rock hippy dude on channel 4 went round collecting all the surviving members of the A-Team for a re-union. He got most of them apart from Mr T, but he did get an interview with him.
Mr T Rocks!

Bit difficult getting them all together as George Peppard died a couple of years ago, but was great Telly. Cant believe Mr T is only 54 though.

"In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team."

Back in the days....
When I was (supposed to be ) In School. :?
A mate of mine and myself wandered off into Liverpool city centre for the afternoon (I'm sure we've all bunked off school at some point).
And as we walked past the Empire Theatre, stretched limo pulls up...out steps
MR T
Awesome!
To which my mate shouts "Ain't gettin in no limo"..
To which we get a huge grin from Mr T himself...
Fantastic!
I vaguely remember watching A-Team when I was small. It was cool how they'll make a tank or something out of 2 bits of scrap metal and have huge explosions without killing anyone.

I remember thinking that for a "crack commando unit" they weren't very good shots !!
I think thats 'on crack commando unit'.
Got to remember it was a childrens TV program. The director wanted to keep it suitable for kids.
Hence why it was SO popular. Guns, fights, kapow and kaboom, making helicopters from 2 bits of toliet roll. It rocked.
Nowadays, we have Sponge Bob (WTF?????) and other weird programs. Garantee peopel get hurt in them as well.
It was so popular because mums loved the macho men, and there was no deaths (all bar the last epidsode where the general gets killed).

or possibly "CACK commando unit" :D
I remember this scene:
Black Trans AM smashes through a wall into a crowded bar full of hoodlums. Hanibal gets out. Chomping cigar, he lets off about 1000 rounds from an M60, lots of bottles behind the bar get shot up. He stops firing, and the bad guys get up with their hands in the air.
No one is hurt.
Classic. :D

Wouldn't be allowed now... all that smoking of Hanibals, and Mr-T's drug habbit...

Aargh! I meant to watch that program. Hannibals' disguises were the best... What I loved was that it was deliberately ridiculous, even when I was 8 I knew it made no sense, that just made it more fun.
When I was wee, I never realised that there were drugs in the milk... I thought he was lactose intolerant.
Look at this:

So did I! With the squashy head and everything... The arms and legs used to break off all the time, I had about 5 BAs (you got one with the van, and with the armoured car thing, and with the big playset campsite doofer...) and all their arms fell off.
